Very near train station

Being from Australia, we're used to reverse cycle air conditioning, but we found where we stayed in Switzerland there's only heating - no cooling options. The cooling option is to open the windows/doors to let a breeze in. This is fine, however, due to the hotels location, we either had to choose to close the room up (to avoid early start consistent train station noise & traffic noise), but then be in a stuffy room ,or, have windows & doors open, but then hear all the train station/traffic noise from daybreak onwards. It would have been nice to be able to close windows & doors to minimise traffic noise, but still have a cooling option. My Husband is 6'3 & the length of the 2 single bed framed beds in there made it hard for him to have a comfortable sleep.

Absolutely lovely traditional feel accommodation. We wanted somewhere that had swiss character & charm & that's what we got. Breakfast was great each day. Plenty of options. Very convenient location that's basically facing the train station, so it's very easy to catch all your trains to where you need to go.

When we arrived at the hotel, the lady while we were checking in was not warm and friendly...I have to describe her well, she had glasses and was irritable, I think she was tired of her workload, but this cannot be an excuse because tourists who come to be alone with nature for a few days want to see friendly employees first of all.

This was very good, right behind the station and next to the cable car, in the very center of town Pizzas are very good :)

Due to the amazing location near by the train station, it was possible to hear the train coming in and out of the station.. however I believe it’s a little “issue” in comparison to the great value of this place

It’s also a restaurant with a quite good selection of traditional Swiss dishes, the breakfast was delicious!

The restaurant was nice, quiet, and had good options. Amazing view from our balcony and very centrally located. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

The staff is outstanding. Friendly service and great meal at the restaurant. Rooms are comfortable and simple. Breakfast is good and again service excellent. Location is fantastically convenient next to train station but don’t stay there is a small amount of train noise bothers you.

The hotel is located 150m from the train station so be ready to hear and feel the trains passing all the time. No possibility not to wake up during the after lunch nap :). Also the smell is not nice in the halls of the hotel probably because of all the ski boots being dried in the hall. Hoever the room there was no smell.

The hotel is super easy to find. The rooms are ok, nice beds. Great view from a room and a nice little balcony. Very good breakfast with a lot of choice. Highly recommended.

No/minimal amenities (soap shampoo etc ) in rooms. Couldn't really control heat in room. The deadbolt on the door didn't seem to work

We loved the location to the train - but it means that there are trains that go throughout the night, or people working at the station early in the morning.

The location is great to get to from the train. It is close and convenient. The breakfast included in the hotel room was very good. The location to the tram to ski/hike was excellent as well as to the areas to eat. We enjoyed our lunch and our breakfast.

Due to the excellent location, expect to be woken early in the morning with trains hurtling passed your door, lorries delivering and general village life! For us, the beds were not the best but others may like them. We found it very hot, even with the heating off. Open the window if you dare due to the early morning noise. Great if you are not night owls!

The location was excellent for the lifts and mountain train whether heading to Wengen or Murren. We couldn't have got any closer had we tried and we had private parking on site, although there is a multistorey hidden behind. The room was of an adequate size and had a balcony looking up the village towards the mountains. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and there is a cafe just across the street with Co-op and garage a few yards further on. The hotel also has a bar and restaurant. Both food and drink were good. Don't expect five star luxury but it did the job. However, as good as its location is, it has its down side.

The WI-FI in the annex building that we were in did not work, which was okay for a 1 night stay but if we were staying longer would have been a problem.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and showed us to our rooms, which were in a separate building just across the road. The rooms were clean and comfortable, if a little dated but had everything required for an overnight stay. The breakfast was lovely, some eggs would be a nice addition to the choice.

room was very small (expected for the traditional house though so not an issue), could hear the trains shake the building (again expected due to the location). only bad thing in their control was that the pillows were basically non existent and caused my partner to have a sore neck
