Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Truly Unforgettable Stay at The Chedi From the moment we arrived at The Chedi, we knew we were in for something special. The seamless blend of elegance, tranquility, and impeccable service made this one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The design of the hotel is simply breathtaking—sophisticated yet warm, with a perfect balance of contemporary luxury and cultural charm. Every corner of the property is meticulously curated, from the serene water features to the carefully selected decor that exudes understated opulence. Our room was an absolute sanctuary. Spacious, beautifully appointed, and with a view that took our breath away, it felt like stepping into a dream. The plush bedding, high-end amenities, and thoughtful touches—like a personalized welcome treat—made us feel truly pampered. The dining experience at The Chedi was nothing short of exceptional. Each meal was a culinary masterpiece, blending local flavors with international finesse. Whether it was a lavish breakfast spread, a poolside lunch, or an exquisite fine-dining experience, every bite was a delight. Speaking of the pool, it was a highlight of our stay. Whether lounging by the iconic long pool, enjoying a refreshing swim, or simply soaking in the serene atmosphere, it was pure bliss. The spa experience was equally divine—a perfect retreat for relaxation, with treatments that left us feeling completely rejuvenated. But what truly sets The Chedi apart is its staff. Every interaction was warm, professional, and genuinely caring. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless. Leaving The Chedi was the hardest part of our trip, but we know we’ll be back. If you’re looking for a luxurious escape that combines elegance, world-class service, and an atmosphere of pure serenity, The Chedi is an absolute must.

IsraelThe breakfast was lacking of variety of products as vegetables and milk products due to the price that was charged . Also the high price of the evening restaurant did not Mach the expectation for excellent menu . And finally we had to wait a long time for the reservation in the bar or lobby

SwitzerlandHotel is in the middle of the village so not much green / nature around. Still good green views though.
Perfect hotel if you have a baby! We had a crib, a baby sterilizer, bottle warmer, special baby amenities for baby bath. Everything is so children friendly and we loved it. Fantastic staff that go above and beyond (special thanks to Nikos at the restaurant) and great food (breakfast, room service, dinner). Huge perfect rooms as well - value for money for Switzerland. Great bathrobe for spa - although too warm for summer.

AustraliaHow long it took to receive something from reception. Alsowhen I checked out. I was leaving and decided to buy the bag on offer. But it took so long to purchase as it seemed very confusing for the staff on reception to take the payment as I ad checked out of my room already. So ing it took I just left in the end without the bag 😩

Switzerland- The Chedi is located in Andermatt, which is a far from exciting small village that (still) lags behind most other Swiss mountain resorts when it comes to restaurants, atmosphere etc. Nevertheless, the scenery and the skiing opportunities are great, and The Chedi certainly draws the attention to itself in this tranquil setting
- The culinary experience surpassed our expectations with a sumptuous breakfast buffet and an excellent dinner at „The Japanese“, although prices are definitely rather high. „The Restaurant“ offers a wide variety of à la carte options, with decent food as well. - We definitely liked the seamless fusion of Asian and Swiss aesthetics with exquisite furniture and captivating artworks - Service / staff was attentive and friendly - Spa is in my opinion large enough and offers a large indoor pool and a smaller outdoor pool in the upper section. The lower part of the spa area features saunas, steam baths and hot tubs with different temperatures

Switzerland- pillows were not really comfortable - even though spa/pool area is big, it was quite packed (it was not easy to find a bed) - overall quite pricey
- staff was extremely kind and very well trained - luxurious, big and modern room (nice fireplace and balcony) - amazing spa facilities - food at all restaurants was really good (expensive though) - nice cigar lounge (the guys working there, in particular Victor, were very knowledgeable when it comes to cigars)
