SwitzerlandI would have expected to have at least some small snacks for the guest in the spa area, as this seems a standard in spas nowadays. As a little extra, the hotel could also explain the three hot pools in the sauna area with a bit more background information as they were very special. I am sure guests are intrigued about them. The level of service in the restaurant wasn't up to the expectation of such a hotel in its category. As an example, despite communicating our food intolerances before the dinner at the table (3 times to two persons of staff), two courses of the set menu were served with the mentioned intolerance in it. It somehow left the feeling that the staff didn't properly listen or acknowledge to the guests.
The room was huge and absolutely stunning, the bed super comfortable and the hotel achritecture beautiful. The breakfast had a wide selection of options. The Spa was enormous and had many pools, two saunas and two steamrooms. The hotel has an ideal location in Andermatt, close to the train station and the gondolas for skiing.

PhilippinesOnly two restaurants and in total very limited food choices. Breakfast just standard-issue Swiss and thus below expectations for this level of hotel, with cheapskate extra CHF 15 charge for bare-bones Eggs Benedict. The room looks terrific and is about 55 sqm but has many design flaws (that I admit won’t bother most people). All the seating is very uncomfortable and there is no conventional easy chair, just a long banquette. I found a type of seat in the public areas that was comfortable for me and requested to borrow one, but instead they gave me one from The Restaurant (what they call the other restaurant), which was just as bad as what was already in the room. Bathroom and dressing area are very dimly-lit, so I had to position the luggage rack in the mini-foyer. In-room dining is on the floor, Japanese-style. Balcony areas have no privacy, are all visible to each other the whole width of the building (not an issue in winter, but might matter in other seasons).
Slick, glitzy hotel built to impress. Staff very professional. Spacious upper-floor room with lovely view. The Japanese (that’s the name) restaurant offers a 2-Michelin-Star but Midtown Manhattan-priced omokase with hits and misses.

AustraliaThe food was good, I must have set the expectations too high. Only one staff member was rude and not helpful. Everyone else was fantastic, very professional, and respectful. I asked to see a different room as I was looking at coming back with several of our friends for a holiday next summer and I was told it wasn't available to view and was booked out all week. I went on to the site and was able to book that same room I wanted to look at. That was the only disappointing thing.
The location and facilities were great. Very good part of the world.
