Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Hotel was well located, near the train station and bus station, but we could walk also into the center very easily. The room was little but clean and organized, it has a very good bathroom size and facilities. The breakfast was okay

Room was quite basic. Although I’ve said it’s reasonably well located, the particular area has a number of bars and clubs of a type I wasn’t expecting to see in Zurich. Considering there was no breakfast included, or even coffee facilities in the room, the hotel seemed quite expensive. Though I’ve said I was happy with the value for money, because I think it compares well to other hotels in the city.
The room was comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonably well located, within 15 minutes walk of the Altstadt and the main station (which is about the biggest station I’ve ever seen!) Safe for valuables in the room.

Juat remember to bring some silicon ear plugs because believe me the area will get very noisy in the night ! And remember to get yourself one of those cheap fold up travel kettles on line. Always make sure you take it on your travels......game changer !
Convenient location near the station and easy to find. Nice large bed and a very good shower.

Small bed but that is expected for a single room.What I disliked was that the bed was right near the door.Room was facing the elevator so you could hear everyone on the hallway.Also there was no door at the bathroom and a very loud cooling system that you could not turn off manually.You just needed to wait for 20 min or so until it stopped
Location was good, near to tram station and central station.Street seemed safe even though it is supposed to be in the redlight district of the city.Supermarket close by

The temperature of the shower was not stable and in the first usage warm water was not available (I almost called the staff but solved afterwhile).
Good location (walkable from the terminal station, Zurich HB), a nice breakfast (no change while my stay of 3 days though) and friendly staffs

Our room had a weird smell, I think it was from the kitchen because it smelled like spices.
It’s ok overall! Nice location and kinda close to the city center. The staff was kind, friendly and helpful

Although the rooms and cooking areas were all clean and well kept, there was a trace of cigarette smoke in the bathroom from the air ventilation system. This cleared when the bathroom lights were left on with the extractor fan running, suggesting it was coming from another part of the hotel. Not a big problem, but disappointing for a non-smoking hotel.
Friendly staff who were helpful and supportive of our needs.

It was very noisy & I had a hard time sleeping at some days, and the staff did very poor action to solve the problem.

Our room faced the street and there seems to be quite lively night life even in the middle of the week, we understand that is not really the hotel's fault tho

The water in the shower was not warm enough. It could be argued that it's technically classified as "warm", but really unsatisfactory shower and bath following a cold January day below freezing.
Location is great. room was clean and tidy. It was warm and pleasant, and the bed was comfy.

The hotel is located in a bit sketchy neighbourhood. However we never felt unsafe and we could go around without any problems. The room wasn’t very clean too, but when we asked for a change of sheets they were happy to help us.
The location is great since it’s really near from the city centre and the receptionists were very professional, kind and helpful.

- I was not accommodated in the room that I saw on the booking, it was a similar room (the bathroom was different, it was for disabled people). - The elevator was very small. - The towels were not of good quality...some had torn edges
- Very quite( except the people coming in late at night and making a lot of noise in the hallways)
