The hostel is located right behind the train station. From the train station it’s about 7-10 minutes walking to the hostel. It’s very clean and has a kitchen equipped with a microwave for us to cook our own food or get hot water for tea or coffee.🙂

not much i’ve just hit 50 (30 years of backpacking) this place attracts a younger crowd. you self check in so i didn’t meet any staff

the layout it had been considered as a hostel so had all the elements you’d want outdoor space, indoor space, kitchen, cafe, lots of social space and quiet nooks. rooms were cosy and hood blinds on windows. great price

i had to check-in late because of travel issues (thx trenitalia lol) and was already anxious being in a new city late at night. the hostel was SO easy to get to from the station and it was a relief to see i could do self check-in :) everything was super clean and the hostel was really nice inside. bed was comfy with lots of storage space as well.

The first room was definitely too small for 6 people/beds. Despite an open laundrette in the basement an occupant/s placed the laundry airer full of freshly washed clothes making the whole room stuffy and smelly - this was with no regard to the health of others and the staff should not allow this. Luckily, received another place when discussing the issue and the conditions there were much better.

Great location, love the breakfast, it’s like a healthy caffe inside the place, you can do just alla cart or the “all you can eat”. The people at the hotel are very nice and helpful. Beds are comfortable, posituon very close to the station is strategic in Basel. I would return to stay in this cool hotel, if I am alone ir with friends.

The toilets were not the nicest. There are no plugs in your bed area, only USB ports which are outdated for the newer iPhones so I was lucky I had my portable charger. Plug sockets in the rooms were also too small to fit a uk to eu adapter.

The lounge area and garden are nice to relax and have a beer in and meet other travellers. Beds were comfortable. Staff are the desk were always friendly and able to help. In a good location close to central station and some cafes, restaurants and shops. About a 15 minute walk to the centre of Basel which is fine for me

The price might feel a bit expensive, but it is about Switzerland were everything is super expensive, and one has also to consider that some facilities that in other hostels are extra charged (like then luggage store or for instance a bath towel) are included in the initial price.

It is one of the best hostels that I have ever been to. The location is super nice, in a beautiful neighbourhood super close from the railway station and in this way appropriate to reach the city center as well. The facilities of the hostel are super modern, and it provides for example an outstanding terrasse and large spaces to relax or even to work with the computer. This being so, I would say there is a super nice relaxing atmosphere in the hostel, which I personally highly appreciated. It is has nothing to do with a partying style youth hostel. The rooms were also really convenient. The staff was nice and helpful.

Friendly staff: I checked in late and they sent me detailed information on how to register at the hostel on my own. Comfortable bed, clean room. The location is also very convenient, close to the SBB train station.
