Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyYou are definitely better off with a car as the closest restaurant is around 15 minutes by foot. The closest store is also 2,5 km away.
T is a super nice host, very welcoming and responsive and even helped us to book a tour last minute or gave us a ride to our next accommodation. The bungalow has everything you need and has a stunning window front and location right on the beach. The a/c was also a big plus. We loved the kayaks and had an amazing stay!

AustraliaJust a suggestion but some push bikes would be good as the villas are a long way from anything.
We loved everything about the villa. The view from the deck out front was amazing. Our host, T, organised everything we needed, including a run down to the local shop for groceries when we arrived. I would highly recommend this place, especially for value for money.

New ZealandIncredible location!! Beach front with great swimming and snorkelling at your doorstep. The use of kayaks and loungers was great and the host T was lovely!! She picked us up from the airport and took us down to the local store so we could buy some basic food items/water before setting us in and showing us around, as well as helped arrange transfer to our next accomodation. The place itself is basic and in due of a little maintenance in some areas but that didn’t phase us as you’re not in Aitutaki to hang out in your room!

NetherlandsThe oven was not working (looked like the buttons were missing). Be sure to store all food somewhere where the ants cannot get.
Amazing location especially if you prefer to be on a beautiful beach without too many other tourists. The hosts were very friendly, even taking us shopping on arrival as we did not have our own car. They also helped us rent snorkel gear.

DenmarkThere were ants in the kitchen, so don't leave food laying around...but we were prewarned. Guess it's a tropical feature. Actually we occasionally have it at home in Denmark too;-) Anyway ... I do think pricing is reasonable/on the high side.
Great that huts were on the beach. Host "T" was so friendly, nice and cool.- picking us up with flower neckless and everything. Get a scooter delivered to the house.

New ZealandOur stay at Aitutaki Seaside was incredible. This is a selfcontaining unit so make sure you buy some water and food straight away, and rent a scooter from the host Tearoa as that helps youg et around the island. The unit has all you need for your Aitutaki stay. They view is something you'll not get sick of and they also provide the chairs and canoes as seen in the picture to explore the lagoon. We absolutely loved our stay!. Besides all that, our host Tearoa was lovely and caring and made the stay even better than it already was. We had a dream holiday!

United StatesThere's not one thing I can think of. These bungalows are perfection. Great for the price and perfect location on the island. I would stay here again, I would encourage my mom to stay here.- and she's super picky! 🤣
There is so much to love about Aitutaki Seaside. The location is STUNNING. You can lay in bed and look out at the water as you awake or relax on your own private porch while the sun sets. The stars are not to be missed! As you glance up and down the beach, it's just trees bordering the lagoon. It feels so unique and special! It's different from staying at a resort; we much prefer the intimacy and privacy that Aitutaki Seaside offers. There are nice kayaks to use and beach chairs. You could visit Aitutaki and be content just relaxing at your bungalow each day. The rooms, bathrooms and facilities are super clean! While simple, the bungalows still feel modern and updated. A/C was super cold, shower had great pressure with hot water and the Vodafone hotspot was one of the fastest we connected to on our whole Cook Islands trip. There is a phone that is super convenient for calling restaurants and tour guides, as well as a free-to-use washing machine. This was such a bonus to be able to wash some of our clothes. Tearoa is so kind; she made us feel so welcome right away. She was always there to answer questions, coordinate rentals, and make sure we felt comfortable. Grace was also so sweet and always greeted us with a smile :) I would recommend renting a scooter, which T was so helpful to coordinate for us. But to mention, our favorite fish and chip spot on the whole island was just a 7 minute walk down the beach (Aunty O'Deez). I would absolutely stay here again and again - and hope I can return! We visited a couple of resorts for lunch and dinner on the island and this place, to be honest, felt way more special than them all. It's absolutely perfect!

AustraliaThe lodge's owners need to spend a little bit of money on fixing some aspects that are run down. Nothing major, but for example, being able to close the kitchen drawer would be nice. The manager is wonderful and is in discussion with the owners but ultimately the upkeep of the property is up to them. This is no way made the experience less. Much like I don't personally like soft beds because I have a bad back - that's my issue and not the issue of the property. The bed was 'wonderfully' soft.
The view from Aitutaki Seaside is the best on the Island. We scootered around the whole island at different times of the day and evening and Aitutaki Seaside view was the best. The beach is fantastic and the lagoon is wonderful at low and high tides. Walk straight out of your lodge, across the beach, into the lagoon and see fish swimming around the coral, snorkle at high tide and walk around at low tide. Grab one of the complimentary kayaks and paddle out around the lagoon, jump out and snorkle anywhere in the lagoon to see fish, starfish, coral etc. Just as beautiful as taking a trip out to the motus. Being on the Western side the sunsets are marvellous. We stayed 13 nights and the sunset was different every night. The manager, Tearoa, was extremely helpful from the time we booked until we flew out. Airport pickup and dropoff, arranging scooter hire at a great price, explaining how things work. Clear and quick communication when I had questions. She took us to the local shops when we arrived so that we could get basic supplies. Being on the West side of the island, the lodge is conveniently located to go to every part of the island. Nothing is far away but I recommend scooter or car hire. The kitchen has basic cooking utensils which is all we needed.
