Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe whole property was perfect for our 5-person group (2 couples & 1 solo). Communication before, during, and after our stay with the wonderful host, Mama Dor, made the booking process so smooth. Off a late arrival to Raro, Mama Dor greeted us at the airport and ended up taking us to the villa herself (cost involved but less hassle navigating with taxis). The private property has a great size driveway - we fit our 2 scooters and rental car there with ample space left. There's a huge kitchen with all the amenities needed, a bbq out on the patio by the pool, sun-loungers, big outdoor table setting and an outdoor shower. There are 3 bedrooms, each with super powerful aircon and with very comfy beds. There's a laundry room with modern washing machine and drying racks (clothesline outside too) and great size bathroom. Aldi is the very caring caretaker who looks after the grounds and pool. On behalf of Mama Dor he even bought around a big fresh water cooler from Mama Dor 🙌🏽 We didn't have to buy any water after that! Talk about going above and beyond! We loved coming back to the villa after long exploration days & not dealing with the masses like you do at resorts. We came and went as we pleased, swam in the pool at any time and enjoyed the peace and views of the surrounding mountains. A 5 minute walk up from the villa is Super Brown convenience store/petrol and snack canteen. You're no more than a 10 minute scooter ride to town from the villa and to the right a cruisy ride to Muri. The villa really lets you feel at home, we had a few friends drop in and comment on how peaceful we had it and everything we need, like being at home. Highly recommend Te Etu Villa2 and the wonderful host, Mama Dor.

AustraliaNothing we enjoyed everything around the villa.
Our family was looking for somewhere close to town but not in town to avoid high touristy areas. This property provided that and so much more. Just minutes drive from the main town centre in a neighbouring village of Tupapa this villa is tucked away providing its occupants the opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy the scenery without any disturbance. The facility is clean and homey. Each room has an air conditioner which is a treat especially of those hot summer days/nights, the villa has all the amenities that you’ll need during your stay. The outside is maintained every day by a young man and he does such an excellent job!! We loved everything around the villa especially the private pool!

New Zealandthe neighbors roosters waking us up at ridiculous o'clock....they clearly can't tell the time
location is good. Not on the beach, on the back road, but doesn't matter when the facilities are as good as they are, and our hostess checks in to make sure we are comfortable.

New ZealandThe host, Dor, was soooo amazing. Lovely, accommodating, went over and above for us. Location was perfect. In between town and Muri, and only a walk away from 24/7 shop and delicious takeaways. The home was gorgeous and full of everything you will need! Aldi is the maintenance guy and was so helpful and lovely! The pool was absolutely beautiful.

New ZealandThe bathroom flooded quickly would be good if they could get a plumber to put in an extra drain hole by the water faucet
Best part was that there was glad wrap, water, tin foil, coffee, tea and soap available as well as sunscreen and bug spray

New ZealandThat we couldnt stay longer we loved everything about our facilities, the home and pool was exceptional
The personal touch from Dorrise was excellent - she met us at the airport and took us to the house. The villa was easily accessible and home;ly - a true home away from home experience. Fruit and veges were available - it was handy to Super Bown and any other amenities we required. Not far from the beach and all the attractions.

New ZealandThere is nothing not to like about Te Etu Villas! It's away from the hustle and bustle but not too far away. Aunty Dor was so accommodating and even offered us rides when needed before we got our rental. Our pool was cleaned daily and if there was any issues, they would have been sorted straight away. Lots of space so we weren't all in each others way and LOVE that there was aircon in every room. Defs recommend :)

New ZealandWe did not think there was anything that could have been better apart from advice above about best to have transport of some sort to explore the rest of the island.
The location was fine if you like peace and quiet which we did. Having our own pool to relax in was fantastic and it was a beautiful pool and well maintained. The property was well set up for cooking at the property and for relaxing outside - well set up undercover area outside (dining and lounge furniture) for when it was hot. I would advise that having a car, motorbike or pushbike is best for this location to get into town or around the island but it was only 500 metres to a grocery store and about a kilometre to a coffee shop which made a nice walk
