We stayed one night here after flying into Santiago and it was the best place we’ve stayed for quite a while! Really comfy beds, great shower, clean high-quality bedding and really lovely staff. You can leave your luggage in a locked room when you check out and the coffee was great. 10/10 recommend.

Can’t name something I did not like.

The water pressure was chefs kiss. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. Nice and cozy home vibe too.

The building is not well insulted against noise so when the person above me walked around, or went up the stairs, it sounded like she was stomping around as hard as she could. I could hear her phone conversations, and all the time she spent talking to herself. I don't know if she was just thoughtless about how loud she was or just clueless about how much noise she was making.

The hotel helped arrange a taxi from the airport to the hotel, and I really appreciated having that help getting into a large city that I don't know. The room was quiet and a nice size, the shower was great. Lots of hot water, good pressure. The internet worked well. The breakfast was copious and it was fun to talk to people from all over the world. There was a small grocery around the corner, and several restaurants within walking distance.

Very lovely atmosphere, thanks to the hosts and family, friends and great interior warm welcoming design and the interior organization of the bedrooms and also living and dining rooms. My room at the back of the hostel was very spacious, including the bathroom. The doors could be locked. Subway, good vegetarian restaurants, not to far by foot 30-45 min. Bus stop nearby too. The neighborhood gives a bit odd impression with graffiti walls near the Argentina’s consulate building. And it you come for the first time you may overlook the entrance. But when you walk on the path and enter, you walk in a different world. Like magic. If you don’t want to go out to dine you can order and it will be delivered at the hostel. The most important thing is of course the mattress which was firm not soft. Just what I like. The room was regularly cleaned. On top of the bed was also a thick blanket available. A bit less was the noise of footsteps of the guest in the room above mine. Note that it is a bit older house, but with plank flooring. When you are a light sleeper you should ask for another room. I loved to stay here.

It's a little hot inside the room. There is no A/C, but this is something very typical in Chile, as it's practically almost impossible to find A/C anywhere.

The location, the aesthetics and def the crew, shoutout to Ronald <3 I would definitely stay there again and I would recommend it to anyone.

The staff was very helpful. They gave recommendations on where to eat and activities nearby. They even helped us with public transportation and scheduled a taxi. The hotel was adorable with stained glass, crown molding, and wood floors. It's in an accessible location, walking distance to the metro, bus, Lastarria, the market, and barrio Italia. Great overall experience.

My room was facing the main road so there was quite a bit of road noise. Ask for a room in the back, if you are a light sleeper.

Loved the vibe of the place. Friendly staff, allowed me to check in an hour or two earlier, because the room was clean and available. The place has an expresso machine, a bar and a nice hang out area! There are a lot of paintings and illustrations gracing the walls, so lot's to see and get information off... Great location!

    Leaving was a bit tough!

This place is awesome and the staff are the best! Caroline and I got into lots of chats about Chilean Spanish getting to know the culture, she is so rad--and helpful--thank you for the multiple lessons! ... Miriam was also super kind and really helpful, as were all of the rest of the warm and welcoming staff. This place is like a big family--all the people who work here are like a big family, and you can be a part of it for the time that you're here, if you care to. It's a real community vibe, feels excellent, and there are also plenty of guests around to chat with, if you like. The Hostal itself is in a very cool old house with excellent hangout spaces and with quite some variety. The outdoor terrace where breakfast is served is so nice to chill out in and write and drink máte. The sunlight changes throughout the day in the different spaces and makes each one feel differently. It feels really cozy, like your home. Lots of plants and gorgeous oil paintings by the owner of the place of scenes from all over Chile. The room is spacious and filled with light with a comfortable bed. Great location in the midst or between all of the not so touristy and cool districts that I wanted to visit. I really felt at home here relaxing in the various public spaces and getting into conversations with different people who work here. Great restaurant option as well with a nice variety of yummy food and also a bar with drink options. It was super relaxed and easy to be here and feel really comfortable and happy. It was however, difficult to leave! Thank you for a great stay and I will certainly return if I am ever in Santiago again for any amount of time! :)
