Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAll good, but a recommendation To see the kitchen & bathrooms floors cleaned/washed, not just hoovered. Kitchen sink to be cleaned x2 daily Clean dish cloths and tea towels daily Cleaning spray for kitchen to be left out for guest to clean up after themselves
A gem of a place. Staff superb. Dorms size ok, with cupboard space excellent. Beds comfy. Bathrooms big, showers good, but could do with descaling. Towels come in with price. Great location - 14 minutes straight down road from bus terminal, and 15 mins from town centre. Kitchen well enough equipped, no oven but has air fryer. A very warm hostel.

United KingdomKitchen is big but badly organised, no labelling, drains blocked, pans available are pretty awful too.
Really good spacious communal areas, sofas and tv. Dorm rooms are huge with great windows and light although they are not tall so if you're over 6 foot 1 be careful!

NetherlandsThe only 2 things that could improve is a stairs for the Upper beds. Now you need to climb on a chair to get up. The other thing is, that there is nothing in the bathrooms to put your stuff on. Just put a chair or a small table there and the problem is solved. The bathrooms are big enough for that! But definetely Would recommend it and Will return!
The place is really Nice! Good beds, big showers, Nice kitchen, places to chill and the staff was super Nice. They helped me a lot with my simcard and gave me a lower bedbunk. The centre is a 20 minute walk.

HungaryEven though there is quiet time after 10:30pm, people don’t care about it, we couldn’t sleep until 1-2 am because people were cooking and shouting all around the common places (and I mean really actually shouting). Very inconsiderate and disturbing considering that most people wake early in the morning to go hiking and would prefer a good night sleep beforehand. I feel like something should be done about this by the hostel :)
Warm, comfy, good atmosphere, huge and well equipped kitchen.

PolandVery basic standard, but it was the only place available last-minute. The staff was kind and helpful, the lady waited for us although we were a bit late for check-in. However the rooms and bathrooms are really old, and it wasn’t the most pleasant place to stay.

ThailandWhere do i begin. Some of these are very basic requirements for backpacker hostels. 1. They have forced bunk beds into rooms with very low ceilings. About 2.5 or 3 feet between bed and top bunk or top bunk and ceiling. Hence you have to crawl into you bed. 2. There are no stairs to get into the top bunk. You need to use a rickety chair ..and there is only one in the room..so if the other bunk takes it, you have to jump off in the middle of the night. Super uncomfortable. 3. Very low focus on many things that make a.good stay. Zero hooks to hang stuff in bathrooms. You have to put all your stuff on the floor. 4. No lockers. This is most shocking given its a backpacker hostel. 5. No trash bin in the rooms. Where should people throw garbage ? 6. The coffee and sugar in the kitchen is always run out. 7. Knife blades are loose from their handles in most cases. Dangerous to use. 8. No tissues or paper to wipe kitchen surfaces. 9. Only 2 plug points next to one person's bed for the entire dorm.
Clean..Close to the bus station. Well heated. Plenty of toilet paper. Strong hot showers. The staff was nice to keep my laptop bag safe for me because there are no lockers. Very good wifi.

United KingdomThe walls between the rooms are quite thin so we could hear snoring from other rooms. There is also a TV and seating area in the area by the rooms which were noisy one night when someone was on their phone and had the tv on loud. There was also loud music from a near by property on the Saturday night but not on the Sunday.
The staff were lovely and we got it for a good price. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of spaces to sit and eat. There were some left over gas canisters from other trekkers that the hostel gave us rather than selling us a new canister which was a really nice touch. Multiple bathrooms and showers with hot water and good pressure. The hostel was well decorated and maintained. They looked after our luggage when we did the 8 day o trek in Torres del Paine.
