Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Tv not international ,no English news channels. Money changing facilities very far away and complicated to find.
Excellent breakfast and reasonable rate. Great location near park on a hill outside.Also next to Main Street with restaurants. Great receptionist help for tour booking.

We had a room at the front and had a lot of road noise
It was close to the centre of the city. There are lots of restaurants around it. Lots of attractions within walking distance. Superior rooms are nice and big.

We had a same room on the two occasions we stayed in Hotel Montecarlo and found it very comfortable - lots of room and good facilities. The only downside was that there was a bit of traffic noise - undoubtedly the consequence of staying close to the city centre.
We were astonished to get a phone call at 9.30am on the morning after our arrival to tell us that breakfast was finishing at 10am but they'd keep it open for a bit longer if we were coming down. So kind of the staff! The breakfasts were tasty and sufficient and the services provided by the hotel were good. The hotel is well located, within easy walking distance or public transport access to the places we wanted to go.

Breakfast was very basic. Mattresses are very firm. Wifi didn't work properly.
Location was great, just 5min away from very nice restaurants and shopping. 20 min walk to Plaza de Arma. We had a family room which was large and enough storage space for 3 people. Stuff is very nice and helpful.

I wish the windows were sound proof. You can hear everything on the street when loud cars and motorcyles pass by. I am a heavy sleeper, so I slept pretty soundly, but I could see a light sleeper struggling to stay asleep.
I loved the price and location.

I would prefer to have a small fridge and coffe machine.

There was no iron at the hotel which surprised me.
The breakfast was exceptional, and the staff were very attentive and professional, and looked after my luggage when I arrived before check in. The room was very clean.

I stayed here many times in past years. Surely, the hotels slowly needs an update, optically and technically. Internet is slow and one has to log in repeatedly. Noisy in the mornings due to intense traffic on C. Subercaseaux.
Excellent location close to many bars and restaurants as well as metro.

The breakfast is good, but could have more vegetarian options, fruits and sweet breads. The wifi doesn't work inside the rooms and is unstable (6 floor)
The hotel have a very good location that alows going to the downtown and bella vista neighborhood walking. The neighborhood has a large number of cafes, restaurants and bars.

The noises from the hallway are pretty loud, it's more about doors being shut loudly, you can hear everything. Rooms are slightly outdated. It felt like I was back in the 90s.
The hotel is located on a vibrant, arty and packed with restaurants and cafes areas. The hotel itself is in a quiet area. The staff is friendly, 24/7 reception. My room was clean and comfortable and I think it was a great value for money. Breakfast was basic, buffet style, no thrills but exactly what I needed.
