I have stayed at the Mumian several times and am shocked that it seems to get better each time. It is an excellent choice if you fly in and out of the Beijing Daxing International Airport (a beautiful airport, by the way). While at the property, you can access great food and a large museum-quality book/gift store. The ambiance is incredible, and the recent decorations for the Chinese New Year are gorgeous. But above all is the warm, friendly and helpful staff. Even with some language barriers, they are always ready to help. International travelers who want a safe and well-maintained place to stay while visiting Beijing should try the Mumian. Oh, and did I mention easy access to all of Beijing from the airport transportation hub?

It was perfect one night stay for us, because we were arriving @2am and didn't want to travel far when we are already exhausted and sleepy. Plus it was an inside walk to the hotel. Go to the second floor exit and you will see the hotel name showing the direction.

The hotel is literally 5 minutes walk from the airport and the walking is all indoors. Excellent for an early morning flight. The room itself is spacious and modern. The staff are all very helpful.

The location is superb. You could literally walk from the terminal to the hotel and it takes you only 5 minutes. Spacious lobby with great art exhibition. Staff very helpful (shoutout to Vivi at the reception!). The room is smart and you could voice control lightings/tv/curtains, etc. (however only available in Chinese at the moment, doh!).

Trying to get a drink early evening in the bar area was difficult. It wasn't staffed, possibly due to the hotel being very quiet (hardly any other guests) and most of the beer choice on the menu wasn't available. There are quite a lot of techy gadgets in the room eg smart speaker, automated wc, electric blinds and curtains but no instructions in English. The lighting system was rather complicated. A room guide would have been useful.

A good breakfast with Western options. We had the evening buffet dinner in the cafe, it's all Chinese dishes, plenty of choice and reasonable value.
