The level of English spoken by staff was minimal. There was almost always one staff who had passable or good English but it certainly was not widespread. I do feel that perhaps this hotel caters more to domestic tourists rather than foreign tourists and that would explain the lack of English. Staff did seem shy and standoffish which I also found a little challenging. It would not prevent me from staying again however.

I loved my stayed at the Legendale. I chose for value, location and the rave reviews I had read on this platform. I really could not fault it, though the level and number of English speaking staff was minimal. It is very elaborate decor so if minimalist is your style then this is not for you. My room was so clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. International adaptors are in all of the plugs which was an added bonus. The room size was very generous, especially the beautiful bathroom. The beds and bedding were great and so comfortable. The pool, spa, sauna and steam rooms were beautiful. The cleaning staff were probably the friendliest of all of the staff and as I was staying for 5 nights they made sure my room was well stocked with bottled water and other amenities.

The bad Old furnishing 3/10 - Dated. Admittedly it has a period deco theme, but it doesn't mean old furniture and rugs/ fabric/ curtain does not need to be replaced. Some of the furniture legs are falling apart, sofa cushions no longer supports and bed mattresses are sagging. Odd choice of pillows 5/10 - These are like sand filled pillow which are very hard and uncomfortable. We requested to change the sand filled pillows but it was not changed. Toilet floor mats were small

No bidet spray installed on the toilet bowl which most 4-5 star hotel will have.

superb location, great room (suite great value for money with BF, lunch, afternoon tea and good dinner; although we also ate several times at the nearby malls with huge number of choices) ; pool and gym where good; staff was always very helpful at any request (specially the russian lady from a small town near St Petersburg 😀); really enjoyed the stay and having ~ 100 hotel nights every year this hotel is VERY recommendable.

Very clean. Extremely welcoming. Nice restaurant for breakfast. With the availability of Western food omelettes bread croissants. Jam cheese fruits.. Swimming pool is relaxing. And it is in a very central location with nearby shopping malls and commerce for shopping if needed.

Staff is not as friendly as other hotels of the same price range. Breakfast is so so. Facility is a little old, walls have chips off. Lots people taking photos in the lobby at the entrance, so it’s a little annoying to go thru the entrance area everyday.

The check-in experience was disappointing, as the reception staff were not friendly. One of the rooms we checked into had a strong smoking smell, even though we requested non-smoking rooms. When we reported this to the front desk, they only sent a cleaner to spray air freshener, which didn’t resolve the issue. As we couldn’t tolerate the smell, we had to request a room change through call to front desk and Booking.com, and only then was the room changed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel! The facilities were excellent, the location was convenient and perfect for exploring the area, and the interior design was beautiful and thoughtfully done. Highly recommended!

In one word: WOW! The role hotel was amazingly decorated for Christmas, unbelievably beautiful! And that was in China, not a Christian country! Besides that, the room and the facilities are wonderful. Comfortable and spacious, very relaxing. Breakfast was also good, well balanced variety of food options. Concierge staff very helpful, Mr. Young Yang gave us much support to get access to tickets and sightseeing.

The hotel facilities were good as what has been seen on the photo. The location was good - near subway, surrounding many eateries, nearby got supermarket & pharmacy, short walk to WangFuJing street and short walk to Forbidden City. The staff Mr Yang was very helpful.

The hotel is located in a beautiful part of Beijing and contributes to that beauty itself. The baroque style grandeur never seems out of place as it is combined with impeccable service. Luxury and comfort, not exclusivity, infuse the atmosphere. And it serves as a fitting base from which one could explore the Forbidden City (only 10 minutes walk away), the Wangfujing shopping area, the National Art Museum, etc.
