The only real annoying issue was that the room really smelled of cigarette smoke. So we sprayed some parfum around in the room and kept the A/C in order to ventilate. Since the room was so big and comfortable we didn't ask for a change of rooms since we wanted to have the big family room. After one day it was already a lot better. But still, the hotel could apply a more strict no smoking policy.

The Legendale Hotel is a very family friendly hote; very well located. It has a decent size indoor pool. The staff was very helpful with organising taxi's for us. There are restaurants and cafés in walking distance.

This hotel is great value for money. The staff are beyond professional and helpful and there is nothing that is too much trouble. We definitely would recommend this property to any of our friends and family, travelling to Beijing.

Big room, toilet and shower separated inside the bathroom, chinese luxury hotel with great amenities like the indoor pool, sauna etc. Friendly and helpful staff, close to Forbidden City and a metro station and small shops nearby. Interesting neighbourhood for car lovers with shops from Ferrari, Rolls Royce, McLaren and others.

The breakfast is not bad but can be better

It's a very charming hotel. Location is perfect for tourism. The rooms are very big and comfortable. The staff was very nice, helpful and attentive . A special thanks for the kindness and helpful information to Mrs. Farogat and Mr. Dalmasso. They speak very good english and were indispensable to organize everything, taxi, travels, bookings, etc. The concierge Mr. Yang Jun was also very nice and helpful.

The swimming pool was closed during my stay for refurbishment.

The hotel is classy and absolutely huge! The staff were helpful and attentive. The room was great as was the bathroom. The hotel was extremely clean and well looked after. The location is great with many shops and restaurants nearby. Wangfujing street is a short walk away. There is also a metro station about 5 min walk away. A fantastic place.

1) Facilities & equipment worn down after 16 years of use & improvements can be made: drainage issues with the sink & shower place (did not drain well) & floor (water coming out floor drainage). 2) The room deco looks glamorous (or glitzy to some) but some hidden craftsmanship details are poor, such as bathroom cabinet doors (paint peeled off, doors did not close properly), sink ‘marble’ chipped. 3) Phones did not work (no dialing tone but can receive internal phone calls). 4) Power station on the desk worn out 5) A TV use instruction would be very helpful [currently only a list of channels provided]

WHAT WE DID NOT LIKE WAS HAVING TO LEAVE.

AS YOU DRIVE DOWN THE STREET TO THE HOTEL YOU ARE CONFRONTED WITH A MAGNIFICENT BUILDING WHICH STANDS OUT FROM ALL THE OTHER BUILDINGS. AS YOU WALK THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR YOU SEE BEAUTIFUL FURNITURE AND ANTIQUES TWO SWEEPING STAIRCASES UP TO THE FIRST FLOOR AND THE WHOLE BUILDING IS OPEN UP TO THE SKYLIGHT 17 FLOORS ABOVE. ALL THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL ESPECIALLY THE ITALIAN AMBASSADOR. OUR ROOM WAS BEAUTIFUL VERY NICE FURNITURE THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE ROOM WAS QUIET.THE ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE TOILET DOES NOT HAVE A SOFT CLOSE SEAT AND THE WARDROBE IS A LITTLE SMALL. WE STAYED 7 NIGHTS AND WERE VERY BUSY EVERY DAY , DID NOT HAVE TIME TO FULLY EXPLORE THE BUILDING UNTIL THE LAST DAY WHEN WE FOUND THE SWIMMING POOL WHICH IS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER SEEN, WILL DEFINITELY USE ON OUR NEXT STAY. VERY HARD TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THIS HOTEL. LOCATION IS PERFECT FOR WONG FU JING AND ONLY A SHORT WALK TO THE METRO LINE WHICH WILL TAKE YOU TO ANYWHERE IN BEIJING IN UNDER AN HOUR. THE BEST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN ANYWHERE.
