Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The rooms could use some renovation
The location of this place is great. It's only 10 minutes by walk from the metro station and there are countless restaurants and shops nearby. The staff is also very nice and helpful. They don't all speak English but through translation apps they helped me with everything that I needed.

Description sounded as if toilet and shower would be in the room, but they were far down the hall. Place was overall not very warm and matress was more a thin carpet, so hard as a rock.
Nice location in Hutong area but also shops and cafes nearby. Close to 2 central metro stations

Living right across ftom the reception there was quite a bit of light in the room and also noise from costumers or workers chatting in the middle of the night.
I liked the location. Near the Lama Temple and convenient acess to metro station. But at the same time a quiet neighbourhood.

Facilities could be better. Only toilet paper in the main bathroom not the room bathroom. Shower was to close to toilet so whole bathroom was soaking if anyone used the shower
Beds were good, location great as near metro station and some coffee shops, restraunts. Drinks at hostel were cheap.

the shower room didn’t had properly space to put your stuff while you take a bath, have a big chance to wet your clothes.
Even though the arounds doesn’t look good, was a good location - very close to the subway station, and not too fair from the historical places.

The showers floor could be a bit cleaner but I saw the cleaning ladies doing their best so I don't want to blame them<3
Very well located, just nextby Lama and Confucius temples, hutongs, and streets where you can find restaurants and coffee places. Easy and quick to reach the airport and the main sites to visit. The staff was friendly and really helpful.

Beds quite hard as usual in China. Toilet paper is a scarce ressource in the rooms.
Very social. Met great people there with which I continued my travel then. The owner was very kind and even reimbursed me for nights I had already paid but didn't use in the end.

The room was very small No goid ventilation, not nice The doir key is smart but noisy annoying if you are sleeping and someone comes

The toilet situation was a surprise, throwing the toilet paper in the basket instead of flushing it down, due to incompatible plumbing, but there is frequent cleaning so it is not an issue but handy to know.
Walking distance from the subway station, English speaking and helpful staff, convenience stores and eating places nearby, breakfast is available for a charge, ample common area to relax, centrally located, frequent cleaning.

The rooms were a bit messy, also in my room the light from outside shone directly onto my bed and there were no curtains and no way to hang anything to block the light.
Good place to meet other travellers and get tips for the rest of China if you are just starting out. Decent location as you are walking distance to a few sites and easy walking distance to the subway. The shared bathrooms were seemingly constantly being cleaned so that was good. They also had laundry machines in the bathrooms you could use. The staff were amazing! They helped us figure out how to use different apps to purchase train tickets, get didi working on our phones, etc.
