Lovely hotel in a great location a little walk outside of the bustling city centre of Guilin. Staff were super helpful and the room was great. And, as others have mentioned, the coffee shop in the ground floor is very charming and makes delicious coffees (I recommend the coconut latte!).

Unfortunately, the car share tour to Longsheng recommended by the hotel in January 2025 was not good. Every positive thing I said about the sister at Zen Tea House would be reversed for this unhappy man. He was only interested in making the passengers feel like sheep while he led them around and attempted to get more money out of them. Everyone else in the car was Chinese, so I assumed it would be good, but that was not the case. I hope Zen Tea Garden find another operator to work with.

Could not have asked for a better welcome for my first stay in China. Front of house staff excellent, the sister who assisted me was attentive, responsive, informative, helpful, knowledgeable. For someone with a lot of questions it was fantastic. The room was comfortable and lighting thoughtfully done. The bath was great at the end of a long day of exploring. Renli noodles a fantastic recommendation, genuine Guilin noodles, helpful staff and great food. I can also recommend the Buddhist Temple restaurant for vegan versions of many dishes, but arrive early as it is busy! The other food places on the road were interesting, I got chestnuts, little oranges and hawthorn!

Nicely designed room with raised seating area, upgraded to a room with a massive bath. A F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S coffee shop and you get a token for a free Coffee each day. Not only that but the coffee is so reasonably priced ⅓ the price of Starbucks and 10 times better

The only thing I can think of is that if you have a room facing the river because there is a Terrace below you if a group of noisy people are sitting there as happened once with me then you're definitely going to hear them. Was not an issue though as it only happened in the afternoon.

This is a phenomenal Hotel. The staff is fantastic and the rooms are clean and comfy and everything works well. The location is a moderate walk to downtown but it's also right next to a very vibrant strip of restaurants and the like. You definitely don't feel like you're living in a tourist area but you're instead of getting to see daily life all around you. At the hotel itself everything was so smooth and they even give you about your for a free coffee. It was great to see it by the river in the morning.

Free room upgrade, beautiful comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, sweet friendly staff and f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s coffee!!!! We've been travelling for 6 weeks and this is our best experience so far and one of the cheapest hotels too. Definitely made our stay in beautiful Guilin even more special..... I said so many times, " I think I want to live in Guilin"

The floor was not clean had dust, dirt and hair but they offer free slippers. The walls need washing, looked like boogers wiped on the walls over the bed. Our room was left open after they changed towels.

Location ok, close to restaurants and one main attraction. 30 min by taxi from rail station. Comfortable bed. Nice staff and communication only possible by translation app. Nice view of the river from the room.

Just a small pet peeve - the shutters on the window were annoying to operate. And the lights system was a hassle to figure out.

Very comfy room and the hotel in general. Great location, not far from major attractions and the train station. Extremely helpful staff - helping me book a tour, order something online, and waiting with me to make sure the tour picks me up. Great attached coffee house with 1 free cup for every booked day. Lovely decor. Elevator.

The coffee shop doesn’t open till nine so we weren’t able to enjoy the very delicious looking coffee because we had to leave early for the Li river cruise.

The staff at this facility has such amazing hospitality! They went above and beyond to ensure that I had an enjoyable trip even when inconveniences came up that had nothing to do with them they helped me out. I highly recommend their guesthouse it’s so lovely and welcoming and clean!

The structure is located near the centre of Guilin and the river: very characteristic but also a bit humid spot. Staff was really kind; regarding the rooms, we were satisfied by our Deluxe Bathtub Room, not so much our friends who stayed in the Secret Base Queen.

The reception/ lobby was so busy and messy. Smell of dog was annoying. The area for laundry was on top roof , again busy and messy .

Very beautiful and clean room with river view. The location was so good, close to all shops , bank , restaurants and sightseeing. Staff were very kind and helpful.
