Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

SingaporeThe breakfast could be better - it's not bad but I only had breakfast on 2 out of my 8 days there cos it wasn't enticing enough for me to wake up to eat (and there's a lot of good and cheap food in Beijing anyway so I was happy to eat outside). The Wi-Fi requires VPN but it wasn't really a problem cos I could use my e-Sim.
The boss was keen to offer help with whatever was necessary and the cleaning lady was very kind. I appreciated that I had a free upgrade from a "budget double room" to a "twin room with private bathroom". They do offer services such as booking trips to the Great Wall and tickets for popular attractions (though I didn't use them cos I booked my Great Wall trip via Klook and since it was the off-peak season and I understand Mandarin, I booked the tickets myself so that I had more flexibility). The room and toilet were very clean and the bed and pillow were comfortable. The hotel is near Zhangzizhong Lu metro station on Line 5 (about 2 minutes walk as they claimed and it is easy to find as they will send you instructions with a map via email and you can add them on Whatsapp/WeChat) which is convenient enough for me because it is central enough to most of the main attractions (mostly within 5 stops). There are some eating places nearby (like 1-2 minutes walk and a lot more options near Beixinqiao and Nanluoguxiang which are about 10 and 15 minutes walk away) and convenience stores (Lawson's and 7-11) within 5-10 minutes walk so I liked the location.

United StatesNot a complaint and shouldn't deter you from staying here but the bathroom shower door design is somewhat open which means that the water may get on the bathroom floor if you don't put the towel floor-mat down. And for awareness (as is very common with Beijing toilets) you shouldn't flush the toilet paper down the pipes so you do need to put it in the waste-bin - but you'll find this throughout the city.
Wonderful location, right by a major subway line and near amazing restaurants and shopping areas. Short walking distance to Lama Temple. The staff was AMAZING!!! Treated us just like treasured family. Lily connected with me even before my trip and answered all of my questions promptly. She and Leo helped arrange tickets for us at all the attractions well in advance without a charge. They even offered tips about places to visit before we arrived. Annie was so nice when we arrived and even gave us a goodbye gift as we left. They all spoke English very well and were so helpful. You could tell they really wanted us to have a nice trip and I so appreciated them. The breakfast was really yummy. Lots of options with noodles, fried rice, veggies, steamed buns, toast, fruit and plenty of coffee and refillable water. The room was a good size for the 3 of us adult women and very clean. We had our own big bathroom as well as a nice view into the street below. Loved this hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Julie Lily and Leo are superb! Totally amazing….so helpful and great English - Poor Leo seemed to spend all of his time fixing people’s mobile connectivity problems! Julie booked my taxi for me when I left …..the hotel is fantastic, a really nice friendly feeling - the breakfast area is also a chill out area so you can sit there whenever you want and maybe have a few beers or drink the (really nice) free coffee - so close to the metro and lots of restaurants nearby - also (i went in winter) it was toasty hot - Great beds and linen - can’t fault the place at all

With one word, this hotel is awesome. During my recent stay at the East Sacred Hotel in Beijing, I was thoroughly impressed by the high level of service and the hotel's team hospitality. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality that made me feel right at home. I even get birthday cake and best wishes for Leo and Lily … With one word, I was shocked (In a good way.). Staying in this hotel really made my journey to china and living there so much easier. Leo, Lily and complete hotel team are working really hard to make guest stay as warm and comfortable as possible. Leo is very professional manager of the hotel and available all the time, helped me with tips before my first step to China ground and later, when staying at hotel, helped me with planning of my sightseeing trips and reservation of tickets for them. The location is another significant advantage, situated conveniently near major attractions and public transport, making it easy to explore Beijing. Hotel is positioned that you can feel how the locals are breathing. Really amazing position. Overall, my experience at East Sacred Hotel was outstanding. The combination of fantastic service, comfortable accommodations, and a prime location truly sets this hotel apart. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Beijing and look forward to staying here again on my next trip! Once more, guys at East Sacred Hotel thank you for an amazing experience.

Amazing hospitality! A very unique selling point of this hotel and the main reason why I booked it is the staff and service: Julie and Leo have been great and very helpful hosts. Prior to my arrival, I was in contact with Leo via WhatsApp to organize our visit to the Tiananmen Square (it’s a complicated procedure because you need to register via WeChat and it is in Chinese). Julie helped us to organize a taxi to the airport. I can fully recommend this hotel to anyone who needs help and tips. Hotel is close to the Ghost Market street and the metro station. Breakfast was included. All in all, a great experience for a good price.

United KingdomThe location of the hotel was great. It was a short walk away from 2 metro stations, one of which is served by the air train. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores that are close by. All of the staff were incredibly helpful, they would book your tours if you needed them too, and even walked with you to the meeting point. Julie even came back from her break early just to book me a taxi to the airport for my departure. I have stayed in many, many hotels around the world and have yet to have come across a team who were as helpful at the East Sacred hotel. Great staff, great breakfast, great location.

NorwayWe liked everything. We wish we had more time.
My husband and I had a fantastic stay at this lovely hotel. July, the amazing staff member, truly went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. She kindly upgraded our room at no extra cost, shared great tips about exploring the city, and even helped us with laundry—completely free of charge! She also patiently showed us how to use the air conditioner, ensuring we had a comfortable stay. The room itself was spotless and cozy, and the breakfast was delightful, with plenty of options, including vegetarian choices. The location couldn’t be better—right by the Zhangzizhonglu subway station, surrounded by delicious restaurants, vibrant street food stalls, and handy shops. There’s even a fantastic bakery just next door. We’re so grateful for July’s warmth and care and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

Everything! The staff is very kind and very carefull. They gave me tons of informations in advanca to reach the hotel and they can book all the tickets for the main tourist attractions (excursion to great wall included). The hotel room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast is included and good. The hotel is 200 meters close to the subway on the line that connects lama temple to heaven temple. You can visit the hutong by walk all around the hotel. The capital express train is one stop before the hotel. Great experience, great hotel, great position. Really really reccomended Thanks Leo and Lisa

BelgiumThis cosy, family-style hotel offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that made our stay both comfortable and memorable. The owner, Leo, stands out with his remarkable hospitality and fluent English, which was a tremendous asset during our visit. Leo went above and beyond to assist us, helping with local tour bookings, recommending not only popular tourist attractions but also hidden gems for budget-friendly shopping. His guidance made navigating the area seamless and stress-free. Leo is excellently supported by Lily and Julie, who were equally delightful. Their friendly demeanour and proactive problem-solving—always accompanied by a smile—added a personal touch that made us feel truly at home. The hotel thoughtfully provides complimentary hot coffee and water (both hot and cold) 24/7, a small yet incredibly convenient amenity that we appreciated throughout our stay. Its location is another major plus, being just a short walk from a subway station and within easy reach of several key tourist spots. A heartfelt thank you to Leo, Lily, and Julie for going the extra mile to make our stay so enjoyable and rewarding. Your efforts ensured that we made the most of our time without any unnecessary hassle. Highly recommended for anyone looking for personalized service and a welcoming atmosphere with reasonable budget.

Czech RepublicWhat a jackpot!!! I stayed in Beijing only 3 days but thanks to Leo (manager) I got as much as possible of my stay. He organized and booked the tickets for the main sightseeings already in advance (arranged through WhatsApp) as it is necessary because some of the attractions need to be purchased in advance. Also if you do not have WeChat or AliPay as I did not - only cash. Tour to Great Wall as well, tour along the streets with typicall food tasting and a dumpling cooking at the end of the day. The position of the hotel is just perfect! 100 m from Metro Station so you can easily travel all around Beijing, even to the airport. Leo and his staff gave me good tips and answers anytime I have asked. It is not a 5* hotel but a great value solution for travellers and people who really want to explore the city, get into the contact with the locals etc. Hotel was clean, rooms cleaned everyday and as my flight out was at 23:00 at night, I could have kept my luggage in the hotel until the end of the day without problem - so I got another extra day. Great, great, great! Oh, one more thing - the hotel does not cook but you have many local restraurants and shops around open almost 24/7 with the local food for the local price...

East Sacred hotel wasn't our initial choice after browsing through the rest of the available hotels. But we're glad that we selected this clean and beautiful boutique hotel to spend our 4 nights there. Leo and his staffs never failed to impress us their hospitality. Every enquires from us to anyone of them are responded with detailed and patience explanation. It may not be a 5 stars hotel with luxurious facilities but definitely come with a 5 stars service!
