Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandNot suitable for elders and wheelchair : due to the location in the middle of walking street. So, the taxi has to stop about 500 meters away from the hotel and you have to drag your suitcase over a rock paved road. The hotel entrance was hidden behind a tea shop. in order to get to the check in counter, there's 2 2-step stairs. after check in, to get to the room, there are more 2-step stairs. For me, it just a little bit more complicated but not a deal breaker. Staffs ,or chinese people in general, cannot understand or read english so you have to be careful : For this stay, I have 2 booking with 2 websites, due to the room availability in each website. I print out both booking and show and tell staff that I have 2 booking. The staff said OK. But on the day that we supposed to change from booking 1 to booking 2, the staff asked my dad if we want to return the room. I was not at the hotel so I ask my dad to show them the document of booking 1 and 2. My dad say he show the document and the staff said that if we want to stay we have to pay (apparently, on check-in, they only charged us for booking 1) so my dad paid the fees for the rest of our stay. When I got back to the hotel, to make sure that they understand I even use the translation app to tell them that " I have 2 booking from 2 website, please make sure I didn't get charge by other website" and the staff said OK. No problem. On check out, the different staff was at the counter. we almost finish check out when the staff said that, Oh, you have a booking! so he tried to cancel or do something in his system to cancel my no-show charge from the website and it's not working. So he tried to cancel the credit card charge but also not working because it's an international card. So he ask me to call the website and tell them the situation. and ask the website's customer support to contact the hotel directly to solve the problem. Problem solve. Staff super nice all the time.
Location is good. We can just step out of hotel anytime and it's already in the middle of tourist attraction. Breakfast is good (Though there's so many food shop around the hotel so some day we opted not to have breakfast at the hotel) Room is good. Bed is comfy. Be prepare to bring thicker sleeping clothes if you visit in winter because you have to understand that this is the hotel in the old town so it was build more like a house as in that it's not sound proof and not insulated. But they also compensated by a good warm bed. All staffs, front desk, house keeper, breakfast lady, were super nice and willing to help and service.

MalaysiaGreat location—which located in KunMing Old Town. The staff were very friendly, and the environment is quite chill to stay. Excellent value for money. I’d definitely book again if I return to KunMing.

MyanmarIt was very difficult to find the hotel. The hotel gave me the wrong phone number and I couldn't contact them when I arrived. A car could not go in front of the hotel, and it took 6 minutes to walk. The street is not convenient to walk with luggage.
Location is in the attraction area
