I liked everything about this hotel. Cannot think of any negative points.

Beautiful artwork and treasures everywhere you look in this hotel. I loved staying here. The staff were incredibly friendly. I enjoyed a 90 minute massage - it was the best massage I've ever had. It was also centrally located and in walking distance to the main sites in Guilin.

If you stay in the 2 bedroom suite, please note that there is no living room and you have to walk through one bedroom into another and then into the bathroom. We ended up getting an extra regular room to avoid this inconvenience. The floors were very dirty, we couldn't walk barefoot without having to wash immediately.

Nice Chinese style hotel, great location on the lake, staff were friendly. Our room (2 bedroom suite) had amazing floor to ceiling corner windows.

The only thing is the shower joints of the tiles could do with some good mould-away scrubbing...but then that is because my other half is a super clean person.

The interior is very pleasant and resort-like. Colour schemes are good. And this hotel has the most Chinese artifacts I have experienced. It even has a museum on the second floor but that is not opened to visitors: the owners personal collections. Location is great...the views from the room of the lake with the lit bridges at night is good. The staffs are extremely polite and helpful. Put it this way: it is great value for money.

The location is near the lake and is very spacious. Had all amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful, helped us to book La river cruise. Breakfast was normal and had very good view from the restaurant.

Location was right on the lake front. Great location in the centre of Guilin, easy walks to restaurants, shops and attractions. We were upgraded on arrival. Reception staff were very helpful and spoke great English. You could tell that the hotel used to be a museum as we were surrounded by antique displays. Awesome. The breakfast was fantastic and offered both Western and Chinese food. The buffet was replenished regularly with fresh food. The breakfast room itself has the most amazing view of the lake and mountains. A truly atmospheric hotel.

We are a family of 4 and absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The art on the walls is beautiful, the breakfast is amazing, and the staff is very kind, helpful, and attentive. The view from the breakfast room is lovely, and they even let our family paint with traditional Chinese paints and rice paper during breakfast.

I liked this hotel more than my 5 star hotels in Beijing and Shanghai. I was here only for one night but it was very memorable because of the super helpful and friendly staff, the very unique style, and the ideal location. The hotel helped me organize my Li River cruise and airport pickup ahead of time. I arrived in the evening but I instantly went out for a walk along the beautiful lake which is literally right in front of the hotel! Highly recommend!

Beautifully decorated and comfortable hotel very well located in the center of Guilin. The rooms are spacious and gorgeous with a window nook for tea. The bed is very comfortable. The staff is exceptional, and speaks great English. We had our Li river tour organised by them, and also had a very good massage in the hotel. The breakfast was good with a beautiful view of the mountains. Overall an unforgettable experience, we didn’t want to leave!

The bathroom was a bit dated and the temperature of the water oscillated between hot and cold. We booked a two bedroom suite but it seems that it’s actually just one bedroom and the second bed is outside. The bathroom is inside the bedroom so if you’re on the outside bed, you will need to walk through the bedroom each time to use the bathroom, which is not ideal.

The staff were genuinely nice and helpful! They helped us book pretty much everything and gave recommendations on where to eat, places to avoid, etc. Even the cafeteria staff were super welcoming and kind. The staff there are better than most five-star hotels! The hot ginger tea upon arrival is also a nice touch since it was very cold outside. The hotel is right next to a lake and the views from the windows is incredible! Rooms are spacious and well decorated with antiques. You can also book an on site massage.

We had a great stay at Aroma Tea House. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated. I especially liked the tea nook with a view on the river. The breakfast was great, also with a great view! The staff was really helpful in helping us arrange transfers. Note that the price for additional services (transfers, activities, etc) is higher than self-organised but everything was well arranged.

The water in the shower was either cold or too hot

Jhuge and Rose were extremely helpful, very kind & friendly. The location of the hotel is great - right next to the lake, and the room was very clean & provided a warm respite from the cold weather outside. The hotel has a great ambience as a tea museum. Bed & pillows were comfortable. The hotel Also appreciate that they let us check out late knowing we had checked in very late at night.

Super convenient location in the heart of Guilin. Great hotel breakfast with a beautiful view from the dining room. Tea rooms within the rooms were a nice touch and the hotel itself was beautifully designed. Helpful and communicative staff.
