Everything was perfect: -location -comfortable room , good sound and light isolation - design of the hotel - view from the room and breakfast room - staff spoke really good English and gave good recommendations including for activities and food - possible to get a massage at the hotel - easily found by the didi or using Google maps / Apple Maps

United StatesBooking.com shows pictures of the two best rooms with a view of the lake. The two best rooms in this beautiful hotel-- on the third and fourth floor-- no longer have those views. The trees around the lake have grown too tall and blocked the views which were advertised. They are still very nice, comfortable and quality rooms-- just without the view. Second small complaint is that there are some music/singing performances which take place in the adjacent park, which is literally under your window. These can be quite loud, and lasted until about 10 pm on at least 2 nights of our 5 day visit.
Aroma Tea House offers perfect hospitality in Guilin! The staff are friendly, patient, helpful and kind. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, bright and beautifully furnished with antiques and classic Chinese paintings and sculptures. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, and served in a room with nice views of the surrounding area. The location is perfect for walking to most of the favorite tourist sites, such as the sun and moon pagoda, Elephant hill, and the departure dock for Li River cruises.

NetherlandsVery friendly hotel staff that speak English quite well. They got me a taxi to the Longsheng Rice fields. I spent one night here and then left, leaving my big bag, returned the day after and got a room upgrade. The hotel is close to Elephant Trunk Hill and a popular shopping street. Felt safe as a solo female traveller. Breakfast was nice as well. The first day I had to leave early and they made me breakfast to go. When I left they gave me a little pot with black tea.

SpainWe picked this hotel for its unique charm and it did not disappoint. It's almost a museum, every room feels special and authentic in its own way. The balcony, with its teapot with local tea, was a charming feature. The breakfast was very nice, with a mix of western and Chinese food. As a vegetarian I had many options. The hotel also arranged a few activities for us (various taxis, a visit to the Longjing rice terraces, and the Yangshuo river cruise) which was very convenient. Staff is very nice and speaks very good English.
