The property has a touch of an old feel. Cleanliness up to my expectation. Bed is comfy. The staff speaks good English and they were most helpful especially Ida. The management surprised me a birthday cake as it was my birthday on the check-in date.

The hotel gives out the Chinese authentic vibe, the food, decorations and everything. Front offices people is very helpful all of them can speak English which is great as well as the owner. The tea complementary in the room is fantastic.

As a small boutique hotel, there is no elevator so may be a problem for some people. Hotel staff carried our suitcases up and down the stairs, though, so not a problem for us.

This is an exceptional, exquisite property - in itself worth the trip to Guilin!! It used to he a small museum, and it is full of beautiful artwork and artifacts, including displays of fragments of Ming pottery found when the lake was recently expanded!! Rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable. Tremendous value.

Rose, Ida & Juga were outstanding receptionists. They were so,so accommodating & friendly. Tina & housekeeping were excellent as were the two ladies at breakfast. Loved the layed back Rong lake location. The ambience of the hotel was outstandingly beautiful. Wouldn't hesitate to rebook if visiting Guilin. Thanks I would stay again if ever in Guilin.

There wasn't anything, it was all amazing.

Everything! The hotel is lovely, the staff are super nice and helpful and all speak English. The breakfast was great, lots of choices and the view is so nice. The rooms are perfect, they have a bow window to relax in with a tea and towels, beds are changed every day. The hotel is in a really good location. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and the lake right in front is beuatful at night with all the lights. It's only around a 10 minute walk to the sun and moon Pagodas. The massage at the hotel was amazing, I had the full body oil massage and was one of the best massages I've had. The trips from the hotel were managed well, we went on the night cruise which was great and the longji rice fields and long hair village is a 100% must do. I'd also recommend the reed Flute Cave, it was incredible. The restaurants recommended by the hotel were great, you have to go to Mcfound. We went 3 times in the 4 days we were there, it was that good! Get the pork with chestnuts! :) also Oolong tea nearby is a must for delicious drinks. We also went there every day.

The hotel has a beautiful interior design, as befits a museum. It so happened that we stayed in three different rooms in the hotel during our stay. All rooms were clean, functional, and very nice. Sympathetic, polite and helpful staff who spoke English. We had no problem leaving our luggage for our one-day trip to Yangchuo. The location of the hotel is right next to the lakes and the park surrounding them. I highly recommend this hotel

- Our room had a lot of humidity. Even though we had a dehumidifier in the room we could still smell it); - There’s not a self-service laundry room.

Location just opposite the lake and walking distance to the pedestrian street. Reception Staffs speaks good english and are helpful in guiding places to eat and visits.

Beautiful rooms in a great location Staff are knowledgeable and really helpful suggesting places to go and places to eat Breakfast is great with lovely views from the 5th floor. They were kind enough to store our luggage for a couple of days before returning to this wonderful hotel .

The staff was very nice and helpful, nearly fluent in english. If you are interested, a lot of program is offered and could be organised for you. The location is great, nearby the train Station ( 25 min. Walk) and the river and seas. The furnishing is very pretty and special. The Breakfast was very tasty - Chinese and Continental as most of the guests were non-chinese. It was possible to have Breakfast 30 min earlier as offered, because we had to leave. Thanks again.

Very niice small hotel be the lake/park. Away from tourist crowds but still good n a walking distance. Green area, great teahouse ambience, diverse choices for breakfast - at the top floor with a view. Rooms woth a special window tea drinking area. Super friendly english speaking staff. The hotel can organise train station and Li Jiang cruise transfers for you - we found out afterwards that they charge about double the rate of local taxis! Just something to be aware of, but the price for day trips etc. was otherwise quite reasonable.

The hotel had an amazingly convenient location, good breakfast and helpful staff reception (including changing our room when our original bathroom had a leaking shower tray).

The first room I got was clammy and smelled damp. But I received directly a new Room and an upgrade. Perfekt.

The reception was exceptionally friendly. The tours I booked through the hotel (Rice Field and Li River Tour) were all perfectly organized. The Dinner recommendation were perfect.

Gorgeous little hotel in a great location, 10 minute drive from the pedestrian road and right next to the lake, great views. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated, antique but modern at the same time. Room was very comfy and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was very helpful, especially in finding us a last minute river cruise on a national holiday!

If I have to stay something I'd mention that the breakfast room temperature was quite high. But that's the only less than perfect point during our stay

From the nice welcome with a smile and some tea, to the cozy and nice and comfortable room, to the helpful stuff, to the bowindow area for savouring some tea... everything has been perfect during our stay at the Aroma Tea House.

The view from the room was amazing. The location directly at the lake is beautiful and in the night the colorful lights are really beautiful. The breakfast was compared with the other breakfast. We had quite good don’t expect a five star European or an Arabic breakfast. We don’t know why the comments on booking are so ambitious. We can only recommend this hotel and we have been staying in many hotels in China and all over the world.
