Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The shower is of very low pressure which might not be enjoyable.
Friendly front desk staff. Room is a little old, but it is clean & of decent size & with a balcony. There is a tram station (Tuan Jie station) just outside the hotel & it leads all the way to Sanya train station at only 3 yuan (for entire tram line). There are amenities within walking distance (convivence store, eateries, mall) & of course the beach.

Noise from the street
The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and cutely designed and the location is very good near the sea. The are plenty of restaurants and shops.

In the bathroom, where the toilet and sink are located, the shower is really not well designed. If you don't plan your bath in advance and don't pay attention to where you turn while showering, you will flood the entire bathroom. Apart from that, I had no other problems at this price. The location of the accommodation is good for backpackers. Very close to small and large shops, local and international fast food restaurants (McDonald's), etc., everything can be found in a few minutes. I think public transport is good, with iPhone maps you can plan small and large trips perfectly. The local bus pass can be activated in the Alipay app.

It's nice place! Too many cafes, grossery markets, near the beach. On rhe beach every evening was a lot of activities, dancing, exercises, performances! It is possible to rent a scooter and drive around the city (cost 60 yuan for the whole day.

The only slight minus: no fridge in the room
Amazing staff and amazing location. 5 min from the beach, in the centre of city, every place is accessible on foot and by public transport. The manager John was so hospitable and ready to help anytime, he even told me lifehacks and suggested places to visit in Sanya. Thank you guys for making my stay easier!

Only one part - old wallpaper in our room.
Magnificent hotel in the second line in Sanya. Time to the beach - 3 minutes. Location is perfect. If you need to get to every point in the city - this is the correct choice. Now about hotel itself. Almost nobody speaks English, but it's not a problem if you have a translator. Staff is very friendly and if you need anything they provide it just in instance. Cleaning everyday, new water everyday, room for storing stuff - for free.

Furnitures look quite old
It has a great location which is in the city center(old center) area with lots of local people. It’s very close to the beach just around 5 mins walk. The price quality ratio is high with all the basics needed as long as you don’t expect a luxury hotel stay.

The shower could need an upgrade, the entire bathroom floor was wet afterwards. Also the doors make a loud sound when they close, which woke me up a few times during my stay. However these were very small issues.
Great location in the city, close to Sanya Bay, and a really good and spacious room. The owner speaks English and helps with everything you need!

One of the receptionist was really annoying and she wasn’t speaking at all, even Chinese. She though we where from Russia which is not really kind you are from a different country. We had to tell her 3 times we were from Italy and not Russia. The rest was okay, room might be different than photos.

The location is easily accessible with a little knowledge from Sanya airport and on the 108 bus. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, selling fruit, groceries, beach clothing and coffee. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Location, the price, The Owner is John explained how to go the bus stop, beach. His English is good, so he can explain very clear. The staff cannot speak English but try to help us with the interpreter in mobile phone.

No shower cap in my room, need to get that from reception.
Reasonable price, great location, so many restaurants close by. It's a small hotel, but you can feel like back home especially you meet John, hotel owner, for John's Staff, not speak English well. Call John when you need help. Anyhow, we had a fantastic time here. If you want a place convenient and an economical budget, come here. Right, sunset here, so beautiful! And supermarket...

The hotel is not very well known to taxi drivers.
The location was very convenient. There was a convenient store next to the hotel. A short walk to shopping centre and also quite near the beach.

No one at the front desk speaks English, no one could give me a receipt for my company because this stay was a business stay. I contacted the owner, John, who never got back to me. If you are a foreigner, you just hand over your passport, get a card and that is the end of all communication.
Price-performance ratio very decent. Daily cleaning, all necessary supplies available. Location super, close to restaurants, downtown, beach, tram, super location!!

Location on Google Maps is wrong but address given on Booking.com and Booking.com map are correct. Photos in Booking.com are very nice but property isn't as nice (but still good). They had amazing photographers.

The air conditioner blows at the head of the bed (room 505), the staff doesn’t communicate in English (but this is the case everywhere), you can hear everything that happens in the corridor due to poor sound insulation of the door
Excellent location (near the beach, large supermarket, mini shops & local cafes, bus & tram stops), comfortable bed, snow-white bed linen, no mosquitoes and ants (lived on the 5th floor)
