Our room didn't have WiFi. It didn't work in all our stay and even our phone data wasn't working properly. For some reason,there wasn't a good signal in our room. The breakfast was limited but they have snacks all the time.

The ladies were amazing! They were funny and so helpful and kind!

The hot water in the shower did not last very long, maybe a few minutes.

This hotel was incredibly beautiful! It essentially looked like an art gallery with rooms surrounding the halls. The staff were truly exceptional at every turn, it was right in the centre, steps from the main square, and the restaurant next door was fantastic. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough!

The location was ideal and easy to find, with everything just a short distance away. The staff were very friendly, and the room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was delicious.

It was all first class and very low price especially considering the wonderful location, breakfast and staff.

This Hotel is the place to stay in Datong. The staff were so helpful even on my last day offering to drive me to the Station as it was a Sunday and no Taxi in time. They were truly outstanding, kind and so warmly welcoming. Datong is a simply gorgeous Ancient City and Pipa Hostel is right in the very best location.

There was some work being done outside the hotel around 9pm which was quite loud but then it stopped soon after we asked when it would stop! Our lack of Chinese was matched by the staff’s lack of English so no conversations were had which was a shame. The pillows were either super soft or brick hard.

Excellent location and interesting in itself. The rooms were super clean and the price was very reasonable for what it got you.

Very cozy and warm which was perfect for winter time! Location is really good. They have lovely staff and one woman speaks great English. They gave clear instructions to take the bus to the Yungang grottos! Decent breakfast :)

No space for clothes and little hanging space. But we were only there for a couple of nights. So living out of the suitcase was no problem.

Lovely hearty breakfast that was fresh and healthy. The location was fantastic. Smack bang in the middle of the Ancient City. What more could you ask. A joy to walk around and it came to life in the evenings. Just a walk away to the local restaurants. Food was so good that evenings there were queues. But so worth it. Taxis practically on door step that took you to Hanging Temple and Grottoes. Would recommend a personal day to each location. That way you can take the full impact and enjoy the day without having to rush around.
