RussiaBy international standards it is a very different beach hotel :) Expect no beach facilities, not even a place to sit and enjoy the beach in the garden, no facilities to dry your swimwear… really surprised the hotel on the beach does not have basic beach services )

United KingdomI recommended to the Customer Service that there should be a sphygmomanometer should be available for Emergency Help, due to the fact that the society is becoming an elderly society and more elderly people may have the need to help them monitor their health during their stay at ShangriLa.
I like the position and decor of my room and the great view from the windows looking at the beach/bay and garden. The staff were helpful and courteous. I and my elderly mother enjoyed our stay.

ChinaUnfortunately, I got disappointed with my experience. Hotel rated as 5 star... and it probably was like 10-15 years ago. Now it looks worn, I found chops and defects all around the room. Same about swimming pool. Hotel located in front of the public beach. There no umbrellas for hotel guest's only in there. Roof in one half of the children's playground was leaking during the rain. It wasn't what I expected for the price I paid.
Location is right beside the sea.

AustraliaStaff do not speak English, you can't even order food. I have been to Shangri La pre covid and they were very welcoming, friendly and you could communicate with them. This time it wasn't possible to communicate even during check-in, as most of their staff do not speak English.

They were friendly and helpful, and most of them can speak English. One outstanding member of staff named ZARA ZHAO the front desk manager She greeted us upon arrival and made our stay comfortable and relaxing and helped me suggest some good places in the City to go.
