An excellent hotel in a quite good location depending where you need to go in Shanghai. 10-15 walk to the metro otherwise directly located at one of the main roads. Very friendly and welcoming staff, great room and amazing facilities. Huge gym and a proper swimming pool. Definitely come back again.

we had to 3 times the experience that the room card did not work and had to queue up every time to get access to our room...

This was our 4th stay in this hotel and we would come again. The value for money is great. the front desk manager (only know him as uncle chen) was very helpful. Breakfast was huge and delicious.

The breakfast was dreadful and the hotel was smelling of cold cigarette smoke and mold, but you can't change 30 years of Chinese smoking everywhere without ripping all the carpets out. The room had some equipment issues, like the power outlets, lighting, etc.

It's an older hotel and it shows, but the size of the rooms is great, the price is very friendly and it is close to the bus that goes to the center of town. Very far from the subway, though.

The property itself is pretty old. The halls smell of cold cigarette smoke and mold. It is probably due to many years of exposure to smoke and humidity as the hotel is non-smoking and this seems well enforced. The hotel set up is very old-school, reminding me of the early 90s luxury hotels in China. To give an example of how ancient some of the equipment is, I had to get my key cards re-magnetized every day because, according to the reception desk staff “the key machine is very old“. There are no chargers, or charging port for mobile phones anywhere in the rooms and whenever I was plugging my computer into the socket, there was a smell of burnt plastic.

The first thing to mention is that the service was really quite good. Of course, this hotel seems to cater to a local clientele, so it’s a lot more convenient if you speak Chinese. The room was very clean and very large by Chinese hotel standards. The bathroom was absolutely luxurious. The gym is very well equipped for a hotel gym, all Technogym equipment. Very clean and spacious with a great view.

Smell of cigarette on the room floor and in the room. Lack of power outlet by the bed Room card constantly demagnetized, even when store away from any magnets or electronics --> constant visit to front desk for new cards, very annoying.

The hotel is a little bit farther from the metro station than I expected. It is about 1 km /15 minutes walking distance. We did it every day without having any problems but it was more difficult in the rainy days.

The indoor pool of the hotel and the other spa facilities were very nice. The staff were friendly and the breakfast had a big variety of Asian and western dishes.

Nothing for free. All drinks and snacks at the room will be charged for a high price after your check out. 👎🏻 Shower gel is available but nothing to take a bath with. Bath salt will be charged extra.

The breakfast was plenty of choices but not of great quality. Besides the breakfast, the size of the ved was supposed to be King size but wasn't. The width was about 170cm.... Just a pity when you look for a King size bed when travelling with the family.

The view was awesome on Shanghai changing and xuhui district. We could see clearly the towers of Lujiazui and the endless city
