We had one of the most outstanding "HOSPITALITY" experiences of our lives during our 2 nights at the Shanghai EDITION Hotel. The location of the hotel is ideal, located on the main shopping street. Just a few steps to the Bund, which is an unparalleled experience, especially in the evening illumination. It has a special atmosphere. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a bathroom with both shower and bath. The view from the room's large windows is unrivalled. Yet, what was even more striking was the extraordinary helpfulness and attentiveness of the staff. Throughout our stay we felt important and they looked for ways to make our stay easy, comfortable and enjoyable. I would recommend the bar on the 26th floor, the view is wonderful. The roof terrace is also special, but the cold winter weather during our stay did not allow us to enjoy it, but even at this time of year it should not be missed for a few panoramic photos.

I highly recommend the Roof bar on the 29th floor where you can enjoy the outstanding view of Shanghai. Love the gym. Drinking water and coconut water are provided. Clean and new equipment which are in excellent condition. The hotel provided Le Labo personal care products, which are specially concocted for The Edition Hotel. Feeling so pampered! The staff speaks excellent English!

Hong Kong1) Since car/taxi can only reach the deadend of the side street, some taxi drivers are unwilling to drive inside the deadend. We were left at the intersection and had to walk to the deadend with our luggages. Hotel has a counter with porters at the deadend of the side street. 2) The toilet counter is very small. No space for makeup, skin care, etc. 3) We kept 2 bags of food item with the front desk (they put the bags at the freezer of the back office). When we tried to retrieve it when we checked out, the staff couldn't find it and took over 15 minutes. We were shock about their poor storage system. 4) A waiter at the bar wasn't professional. He kept saying they could make drinks as per our request without alcohol. After we ordered, he came back telling us they couldn't make them and only 2 drinks on the menu could be made without alcohol. Why he didn't tell us at the very beginning?!
The location was excellent as it's on the main shopping street and walkable distance to the bund. The room size is decent. Breakfast is excellent with lots of choices from Western to Chinese, cold and hot and food quality is good. The bar at top floor has an excellent view.
