We personally had no problems, but I believe the mattress was quite firm. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is an ideal place to stay. However, if you prefer going out, you might want to explore the two nearby towns (Of course, the taxi is inexpensive, so that’s not really a problem either).

A lovely room for couples with a beautiful mountain view. The staff was very helpful. They assisted us in organizing everything, showed us different routes, and even arranged both the taxi and the payments for the national park. Regarding the heating issue that some have mentioned, our room was very warm, and we didn’t experience any problems. The only place where you might feel a bit cold is at the reception, but that’s not really an issue.

It was very cold in Zhangjiajie. I loved the bed warmers. We slept well because of it. The owner also brought us to the park in her car. The breakfast was substantial and tasty. The view from our room is the best thing during our stay.

There's always room for improvement… shower needs some deep cleaning!

The hotel was the cherry on top of our holiday. The hotel was known before as Yueshanju Hostel. And the view from our room was magnificent. The owners /staff don't speak English but get by with their portable translator. They arranged our airport transfers and the tickets to all the 3 major attractions for $170 total per person (a great discount) .

Amazing views, nicely decorated rooms and delicious meals. We had a great one night stay at Mount View Cottage while visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The family running the hotel was welcoming and with the use of the translator communication was no issue. They provided us with a map for the park, which was a life saver 😅 On our day of departure they also offered a free lift to the south entrance. Everything was great, highly recommended.

Everything was perfect. Location is absolutely gorgeous very close to the National Park. Staff is extremely helpful and kind and they also offer a range of services if you need. Delicious breakfast is served also. Would definitely recommend as this was the full experience.

One tip: if you are looking to coordinate transport from the airport to the hotel and can use didi, I would do this instead of having the hotel do it for you. They charged us around $25 for a trip that would have been less a fraction of that on didi.

We had a really nice stay at the Mountain View Cottage. Staff does not speak English, but we had no issues communicating with translation tools. They were extremely helpful and accommodating during our stay.

Only the location was a bit far from everything but im not complaining because the staff arranged cars for us with drivers.

They helped literally with everything they have English speaking staff even if they are not around they have a translator machine which works perfect. The staff and the owner lady booked all our tours for us which was super helpful.

The hotel doesn't have an elevator so you have to carry stuff up. Also, when we first enter the room, the toilet's floor is still wet.

The staff don't speak English but they are very helpful. They offer you tour recommendation for your stay and tell you what should be done, also drive us to Zhangjiajie National Forest. Room is clean and it has such amazing views with tea table and bamboo seats. Highly recommend. Splendid

Zhiangjijie is a beautiful place. Hotel Property is also good. Hotel Owner was very cooperative. The best part was, we could get lot of vegetarian items. So the breakfast was also very satiating.

Breakfast was amazing, with some local pickles and vegetarian options. Owner was very cooperative. She had translator to help guests communicate and she was pro in getting food from outside, which was not available at Hotel. Overall, very good experience, no reason to complaint.
