I'll be honest - the hotel itself does give us more hostel vibes than hotel. There seemed to be no heating in the common areas so we found it pretty cold for our stay. Also the dining area needs more atmosphere (some background music would be nice). But these were minor details which did not have a huge impact on our stay.

Even before we arrived at Whispering Mountains, we knew we were going to be looked after as Lucas and Eason checked in with us to see if we needed assistance with planning our visit to Zhangjiajie and if we needed airport transfers. Without these guys, we would not have had the trip we had. The hotel is located just a couple of minutes walk/drive away from the West Gate which was perfect because the crowds were so low. The guys went above and beyond! We had an issue with the neighbours rooster outside our window that woke us up on our first 2 nights and by our 3rd day, they had built a hut for it, further away for the hotel - that is customer service and incredibly amazing! The rooms were BEAUTIFUL and so comfortable. They were also a very big size so perfect for all our luggage. Would love to see the buzz of the place in the Summer. All in all, we would highly recommend this accommodation in Zhangjiajie. It was exactly what we needed for our trip and again a huge shout out to Lucas & Eason - you are fantastic at what you do!

Everything was great. If you want sightseeing at the park and get the best advices how make it quickly, without crowds and best cost price you are welcome this hotel and those guys. We visited two days Avatar park, Glass bridge and Yellow dragon cave with private driver for only 300 usd for 3 persons. The only bad thing is that - due to the close location to the entrance of the park there was nowhere to go out in the evening but if you need to go to some shop or else they kindly provide a free help to take you to the village. The breakfast and dinners were also tasty with reasonable price. So in a word we highly recommend that hotel for visiting the park.

Dont’t hesitate, just book this accomodation! Because of the proximity to the west entrance you’ll be able to visit the park without waiting for cablecars or elevator. Lucas made us a 3d/4n trip (2 days Zhanjiajie, 1 day tianmen) and we think we’ve seen it all as this is something you only do once in a lifetime. Food in the hotel is great and enough variety to not get bored on day 3. Thank you Lucas and staff.

As it is a rural area, I recommend that you bring earplugs as the roosters are very noisy in the mornings.

Lucas was fantastic at getting us tickets and planning our daily itinerary for visiting the nearby Zhangjiajie national park and TianMen mountain. He was also helpful in providing a vegan breakfast option and including tofu for me on the dinner menu. The food was very tasty. The hotel is very well located for the national park and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. We found our rooms to be clean and the beds comfortable.

The staff are amazing, especially Lucas from the management of the hotel. We have stayed 3 days in this hotel, and Lucas had made itinerary for us during our stay to explore all point of interest in Zhangjiajie. He knows exactly how to avoid long queue so we really can optimize the time that we had. For the first time visitor to Zhangjiajie and want to get maximum of your time, enjoy as much as possible, I really recommend to stay at this hotel and let Lucas create itinerary during your stay here.

Don’t look further, stay here! Near the West gate entrance. Thankfully that Lucas mentioned to us about the distance to the West gate. Our guide wanted to enter the East gate, which was an hour drive. We could use the washing machine (detergent incl) and hang the clothes of a dry rack. Paid extra for dinner and breakfast, the food were delicious. The room was spacious and clean just like the pictures.

The location of the hotel is simply fantastic! It's in a peaceful and beautiful area full of nature and quietness. The owner (we suppose) is more than friendly and super eager to help you out with anything. He's full of energy, speaks more than decent English, and will go out of his way to get you going!

The hotel is beautiful and has a great location. Lukas helped us with tickets and suggested hikes, also picked us up and dropped us off at the entrance of the park (would have been a quick walk but we appreciated the help). The dinner was very good.

Everything. Beautiful setting, walking distance to the quieter entrance of the park, it sends you round in the other direction to the crowds so it makes the whole experience much faster and less congested. The staff are so so so helpful and will sort you out with whatever you need. Then there's the food, which is delicious and makes going out to find food unnecessary, honestly some of the best food we had on the entire trip. Rooms are wonderful, comfy beds. There's a pool and a pool table. It's the best. Go there.

Everything about this property was exceptional! The staff were amazing :) location was walking distance from the National Park. Food was home cooked, fresh and delicious. They helped create itineraries each day with easy to follow instructions, it would have been difficult to navigate the park without them. I would highly recommend staying here :)

The staff was what made this stay exceptional. Lucas was prompt with his WeChat replies and Eason took such good care of our group of 6 that it really made us feel so at home. He planned the route daily, and checked in on us along the way to make sure we weren’t lost or to remind us not to be late in catching the bus down. Location of hotel was very close to the west gate which isn’t crowded. Property is very clean with all the necessities, even free laundry. Not to mention the yummy home cooked breakfasts and dinners!

The one compelling reason to stay here? The outstanding concierge service by Eason and Lucas. They provide detailed maps and guidance, making complex mountain routes easy to navigate. And after a day in the mountains, coming back to the hotel’s delicious meals is a true comfort. Eason’s extra-mile service, even offering transport to and from the west gate, made our stay truly memorable. A delightful experience all around.
