Great location, great room, great food and great assistence with booking trips in the area. The park is about 400m from the hotel and by starting at the west side of the park we were going against the direction of the regular tour groups so we didn't have to wait in line anywhere. We even had the Bailong Elevator and multiple cable cars to ourselves. Great experience.

Loved our stay there. The property was clean, and well managed. Food was excellent. Location is super close to the Zhangjiajie National Park and most of all the service Lucas and Eason provided was top notch. They arranged everything and also customized our trip.

The location was super tranquil and on the less hectic side of the park. And the staff, Lucas and Ethan, were amazing! They gave us suggested routes that helped avoid so much of the wait times. There’s a lot of crowds at Zhangjiajie, but they knew where to go and how to get there to at least avoid some of the crazy crowds. They were also super helpful in all sorts of things like helping us book train tickets to our next destination and expediently picking us up / dropping us off at the park entrance. The hotel terrace is also lovely with a nice view of the mountains.

Everything was excellent

This is a family boutique hotel that turned out to be the best choice across my China Journey. Lucas, Eason and their family made the stay so welcoming and amazing for me and my mother if I could give 20 out of 10 this place definitely worth it! Lucas is an amazing owner of the hotel who speaks fluent English (very rare to find in China :). He has been so kind and have been continuously in touch with me during our stay in Zhangjiajie even before I arrived into the country, he has helped up with daily schedule for National Park hiking with very clear guidance and map in English which made the experience so smooth and enjoyable. Lucas was kind enough to help in arranging other trips I needed to explore the area apart from the National Park. We always used to get dropped off to the gate and picked up after whole day hiking. Food was very delicious and his family was kind enough to accommodate any customizations we requested for breakfast, lunches or dinners. Room was cozy and clean with comfortable bed and pillows. Since we visited during beginning of the peak season weather was quite good despite some showers it was not cold. Lucas was always taking care of us even in arranging needed urgent help to take my mother to the hospital in town when she had allergic attack while we were heading to another city and he has been continuously checking up on us until we safely reached the hotel. Lucas made so much more to make our stay feel almost home. I would definitely return to this place only if I have a chance next time!

This was truly the best hotel experience I've ever had. Eason and Lucas are so kind and helped us with all our needs-- from booking attraction tickets, to finding us drivers to take us around to different parts of ZhangJiajie to arranging our transportation back to the airport. We got detailed maps and itineraries from them and were able to experience the different national parks to the fullest. The rooms itself were incredibly clean and spacious too with its own balcony overlooking the mountains. The food, breakfast and dinner, were also amazing! My friends and I were all super impressed by everything we ate here!

Everything is great at Whispering Mountains - hospitality, great location to the park, fluent communication in English, great service and catering... I myself am native Chinese from Hunan living in the Netherlands; this time I traveled together with my native Dutch partner who doesn't speak a word of Chinese, and he can communicate without worries with staff at Whispering Mountains. On another note, I don't think much communication is needed. Lucas and his colleagues proactively arrange pick-up, walking routes in the park that perfectly dodged the crowds, breakfast and dinner... I honestly didn't expect such high level of service which matches luxury hotels in Europe in a small part of China. Even in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan province, you wouldn't be able to find sth this level. I would recommend anyone who come to Zhangjiajie taking this hotel.

The 2 men that run the hotel are just the best!! Fluent English and could guide us where we needed to go. The pool area was really refreshing in the hot weather and the pool table was a great addition.

The property was clean and well nestled within nature. It was not near the city area so it was quieter and enabled us to fully immerse ourselves in the wonderful scenery zhangjiajie had to offer! I would say the highlight of the property are the owners, Eason and Lucas. They were the most hospitable people I’ve met on my trip in China. Extremely helpful and did not make us feel like we were burdening them or imposing them with our countless questions and requests for help. They were always ready to offer us assistance and gave us very very practical advice. The routes they suggested were excellent and their estimation of time turned out to be extremely accurate. The places they highly recommended us to go ended up being highlights of our trip and the places they told us we could skip (which we did not listen) turned out to be places which we could actually skip in the end! The food they served was excellent as well, better than restaurant standard, and Eason serves a decent latte! I would highly recommend staying with them for their great hospitality and also to find out how to avoid being caught amongst all the local tour groups!

The outside looks a little bit less picturesque in real life and the place is very cold (we were there in February), but these were really not deal breakers for us and I would still highly recommend to stay here over anywhere else if you're visiting the National Park. Super worth it, honest prices, good food, incredible staff and we really had a great stay.

Everything was great, Lucas' communication was a real treasure to find in China as in general the level of English and communication is very bad, but Lucas speaks English fluently, is incredibly helpful and replies very quickly at any hour of the day. He accomodated us with just one day's notice, arranged a guide for us to visit the national park, even drove us there himself. We also had lunch there both days and the food was lovely.

The hotel is located near the entrance of National Forest. The room is spacious and the environment is calm. Ultimately, Mr.Lucas and Mr. Eson who are the staffs of the hotel took care of us very well. They helped us check the weather, plan the route, drive us to the entrance free of charge. Also, they helped us call the taxi to pick up and send us at the airport (with the reasonable price). I LOVE everything about this hotel and if I have a chance to visit Zhangjiajie next time, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

He made our trip to Zhangjiajie unforgettable. The National park is very close to the hotel (about 500 m to the West entrance, which is not so crowded to our opinion). If you are wondering where to stay for visiting the National Park, this is the place to be. The West entrance is the perfect starting point because you will go against the flow of tourists and have some hiking paths for yourself. Furthermore, Lukas is an amazing host and helped us to organise our tours incl. tickets for the parks and transportation . We were really enjoying the stay in this hotel and we highly recommend it.

The team at Whispering Mountains were superb! Super helpful and kind! Location was top notched, a stone throw away from ZJJ national park entrance. Though there were no restaurants close by, it was the best home cooked meals ever - the food was devine!

Lucas, Ethan and Steamy😺 are the best hosts in the village ♥️ .. They will organise and explain every trip, give you advice on where to go first to avoid crowds, will help to buy all the tickets, drop you off to the gates or local shop. Also you can book a private taxi to Glass bridge and Furong Acient town..( it was awesome 👌) We had amazing time and I would recommend anyone who visiting zhangjiajie to stay here its like 5 minutes walk to main entrance ..!! And please dont forget to give plenty cuddles to Steamy😻 ... Once again THANK YOU ALL to make this trip so amazing 🤩..

Everything. The service was superb. Lucas n Eason took care of us during our stay to the very minute details. Lucas helped us with the purchase of all our entrance n ride tickets, gave us the route maps with detailed information and briefing everyday to the Zhangjiajie national forest, drove us to and fro the west gate daily n even arranged a didi for our travel to the glass bridge. We loved the strong hot shower , the comfortable king bed, the view from the balcony, the spaciousness of our room and the charging points in the room. We had delicious breakfasts n dinners at the hotel with full view of the mountains. Definitely would recommend Whispering Mountains to visitors to the Zhangjiajie national forest 👌 👍. A home away from home for us. Thank you very much Lucas n Eason, you have shown us elderly couple such great kindness n respect. We really appreciate all that you have done.

The hotel is very nice and cozy, the room is spacious and comfortable, and the location is fantastic, very close to one of the park's entrances. Food is very tasty as well. All facilities are good, but what made our trip fantastic was Luca's outstanding help. He helped us to plan perfect days at the park, he booked us drivers, and he gave us great hints and advices.
