Decent and cheap stay, but wouldn't reccomend for comfort

Staff did their job and were fairly fast which I appreciated, but didn't seem particularly enthused to be there, and didn't seem to be expecting me at all, despite me having booked online and the property having confirmed my check-in time via Booking.com. Check-out time seems slightly arbitrary, as although it stated 8am-12pm, when I checked the staff said they would be at the desk at more like 9am or later (not an issue though if you have wechat, as you can just send a picture of the items you have to drop off positioned at the front desk, in return for the deposit). Rooms were kept to an okay standard, although there was some dust, the window lock was broken and someone had left a pack of wipes in the shelves of one of the beds. While I can appreciate that the bed was offered at a low price, I have stayed in much nicer hostels at the same cost in China - perhaps Wuhan is just generally pricier on that front.

Fairly convenient location, esp if you want to visit tanhualin or the former residence of Mao--about a 10, 15min walk from a long line of food shops. Within the room you get access to your own locker.

It's a nice hostel in the middle of the Wuchang district. You can easily reach the Yellow Crane Tower by feet or have a lovely stroll at the Han river. The hostel owner is friendly and extremely helpful and patient. He was able to help me a lot while my stay. I would definably come back if I have the chance.

There was no light by the bed. Neither was there a table or desk.

The room was clean. I had a big room, with a private bathroom, though it was probably designed as a family room. The staff were nice, but as usual, English was a bit of a challenge. I can't say anything about the location as I got there in the evening and left early in the morning.

For reference, I am a Texan who enjoys traveling. I am also younger than most of the people one might find backpacking around the world. The location and people in this hostel are the two main highlights. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and open. I made friends quickly with some of the folks in the meeting area--they even invited me to dinner! The beds are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and they had water and other drinks for purchase in the lobby at reasonable prices. They have musical instruments available to play, as well as an interesting assortment of characters who drift in and out of the lobby. I was very satisfied with my trip. Wuhan, unfortunately, has received a poor reputation because of the events of the past three years. The truth is, the city is full of history, life, and fascinating museums. It should be known for its uprising--a tremendous act of courage that liberated China from imperial rule. The Yellow Crane Tower and Yangtze River Bridge were impressive. I recommend visiting to anyone, but especially Westerners because it is such an uncommon and eye-opening experience.

The staff was a bit rude when I said I didn’t speak Chinese. One bed in my dormitory was left dirty (weird liquid on the sheets) for my whole stay (4 nights)

Cute hostel with clean and comfortable dormitory room.

One toilet for 10 people, and it was inside the dorm room as well, everything that went on in there was perfectly audible. You could hear everything at any hour, people having a shower, doing number twos. No kitchen, only a microwave

Reasonable common room, but filled with antisocial working people instead of friendly fellow travellers. Not a good place to meet fellow travellers.

Good value for money. A cheap place in a country where few hotels allow foreigners.

No food storage or kitchen, only one refrigerator.

No breakfast. Staff was always helpful and keen to please. I hate upper bunks but that was my only choice.
