Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

They are very sticky with the rules around using the swimming pool. I felt policed so didn;t use it.
It is close enough to the Canton Fair Complex 25 min walk or 5 min cab, but yet is within a populated area. Place is clean and upscale. The Gym was quite good and adequate.

If you choose top business rooms with a great view, please consider, that such rooms could be with the smell of cigarettes and tobacco. Because rich Chinese smoke often (who choose such rooms).
Big, airy and very comfortable room, very good breakfast, nice pool and gym.

Great modern building in 15 minutes drive from the city business center and Canton Fair. Easy to find. Comfortable large rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast.

My room had a small smell of cigarettes.
Modern stylish hotel in 15 minutes drive to Canton Fair and city business center. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Good various breakfasr. Staff are very friendly. Special thanks to Huang Xiamin for the help. I am very satisfied with this hotel.

Nobody was speaking english….sorry but i am a tourist and to come in a hotel, not a cheap one, and to have 2 people out of allll the staff speaking a litttle bit of English….this is disrespectful

The breakfast had very little or no vegetarian options. Sad as we had paid for breakfast but were only eating toast or a fried egg. I didnt like the fact there was a fee taken from my account and additionally I was asked for another deposit. This is not a good policy and should change.
The staff especially Evan and Jerry were very helpful. The hotel is very clean and rooms are exceptionally large. The staff were helpful and courteous at all times.

The restaurant serves breakfast with a diverse menu, but for someone who stays for a week like me, I still want a more diverse menu to make breakfast less boring. Anyway, Chinese food is very good
The hotel room is nice, the hotel location is good with my work. The service here seems to be inadequate, possibly due to the long closure of covid epidemic. The staff here barely speak English, but fortunately I met Ms Flora, shi is good english. I would like to thank Flora for her enthusiasm in some of my support during my stay.

I did not receive my security deposit that I paid and it was 50% of the total booking fees

The breakfast varieties need to be impoved. Too localised and heavy after eating.
The sink was choked. I feedback to the reception. They informed the technical has rectify. But when i try to use it after back from my outing, the sink is still choked.

My toilet wouldn’t flush but luckily the room had two toilets so I just used the other. when I went to the day spa I felt like the staff behind the desk (about 6 of them and youngish) were all laughing and commenting on me, I clearly didn’t speak mandarin and just felt very uncomfortable, so I turned around and left again. the breakfast was catered very much for the locals and not for international/western guests so I didn’t eat anything other than a banana on toast, being a vegetarian. great if you speak the local language but not catered for westerners.
the rooms were a generous size and bed super comfy. Gym was decent too. the lady on reception was very helpful when I needed to book a taxi as my Ali pay wasn’t working properly. as a non mandarin speaker I really appreciated her help as it can be quite stressful communicating sometimes.
