Kunga and his wife were very kind and hospitable hosts. They picked us up for free from the High Speed Rail station. Gave us a lot of travel information that made our stay in Shangri La an enjoyable one. Room was cosy and very clean. Heater and electric blanket in the room were enough to keep us warm in the cold winter. Located inside the Duzekong ancient town, food is easily available just outside the guesthouse. Highly recommended!!

Bedrooms can be a bit chilly but once you understand how the heater works it gets better, and they have electric matress which is wonderful.

The host Ama and her sons are so lovely and helpful. They helped us countless times and felt us very welcome, especially at night in front of fire with warm tea :) the hostel is beautiful In the heart of the old city, it was a perfect stay

The only problem to me was the gaps in the door and in the windows that allow cold air to enter. The portable heater helps a lot though.

Lovely tibetan house, high attention to details and beautiful place. The staff is very kind and helpful giving tips on what and where to eat and what to do. The location in the old town is great! Definitely will stay again.

My stay was perfect. The hotel is in the Ancient Town, so you can really feel immersed in the Tibetan culture. The room was super clean and comfortable, it had bed heather, aswell as room heathers. The Owner was super friendly and gave me a ride to the bus station. Best experience ever.

Located in the old town, close to Dafo temple and easy to find foods around there but it quite far from the main road, if you have a luggage I recommend to grab a taxi to Shunshun snack and walking to the hotel using Apple Maps or you can called the owner to pick you up. The room was great and the hot water is working well, have a warmer on the bed.

The staff can speak english and very kind to help carry the big luggages to upstair. We have some problems with cash, he was also find the way help us. Moreover we can ask for staff to help us booked the car for Yading.

First of all, we really appreciated how much effort the accomodating and friendly owners put in their cozy guesthouse. They made our stay homely and we felt very welcomed. We were given tea or hot chocolate in the colder evening and they served us fruit in the afternoon. Our room was clean, the bed sheets warm for the cold nights and the common area lovely decorated. Since the hostel is situated within the old town, the location couldn't have been better. We would definitely come to stay here again!

The hostel is in the Dukezong Ancient Town so it’s really easy to go around. The room is cozy and basic, plus point is that it is equipped with a heater and electric bed warmer so I felt warm, comfortable and had good sleeps. The highlight of the stay is the 2 owners of Yi’s hostel. They are super friendly and helpful. They offered us free pick up at the airport and helped us with our crazily heavy luggages. We booked a driver to explore Songzalin monastery and potatso park but the driver was busy so the owner took us to these places with reasonable fare. Also helped us to book a taxi to the bus station on our check out day and again really helpful with the luggages. I highly recommend staying at Yi’s hostel. Owners can speak English! This is one of the reason I chose to stay here.
