We had an unforgettable stay at this guest house. Their small team is incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to ensure your comfort, creating a warm, community-like atmosphere. We enjoyed participating in the art and craft session and the dumpling-making experience—both were so much fun! They even kindly dropped us off at the Great Wall and picked us up when we were finished. The food was exceptional, made with fresh ingredients, and they even serve specialty coffee like lattes, which was a delightful bonus. Keep in mind that the guest house is in a rural area, and the rooms are simple, but staying here was definitely the best decision. Our daughter was so sad to leave and keeps asking when we can return! 😅

Nicely decorated and very well kept . Super friendly and helpful staff. Took us to see the sunrise from the Great Wall , and relax afternoon craft making. Close to the Great Wall by the water , which was a very nice spot too.

The room was very cold. But a heater was provided and there was an electric blanket. The bathroom was not able to be warm and so it was very cold stepping out of a hot shower. Bear in mind the location when trying to get back to the city. Staff were helpful in making sure I was on the right bus, but it was a bus ride, a taxi and 3 subway trains back to Beijing West station and took nearly 4hrs.

The property is really close to a much quieter section of The Great Wall, which is great if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of tourists. The hosts were wonderful. The food was amazing and opportunities to participate in some crafting activities too.

The rooms are a bit damp feeling, and the bathroom will be soaked after showering, but overall not really a problem.

Fantastic place to stay! The hosts were so sweet and helpful. They have umbrellas for the guests, traditional clothes you can take with you to the great wall for pictures, sandals for the bathroom, and a dumpling making night - they even gave us a ride to the wall! The food is also not to be missed. Lots of options, and everything we had was delicious. I would happily stay again!

Amazing location, in a quiet village near the wall. Staff were amazing and it felt like we were staying with a family! The food at the property was also amazing, some of the best food we had in China made by one Chef! The room itself was spacious and the pool table and rooftop were amazing to relax with an incredible backdrop. The staff were so friendly and helpful from arrival to check out. They gave all the information we needed about the wall, and they even have traditional clothing you can take to the wall to get pictures. The guesthouse is very nice, with lovely little rooms - we wish we had time to stay longer than the one night. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing! 100% recommend!

We had difficulty finding the hotel as instructions were not very clear for getting there by bus, especially arriving, as we did, at dusk. We ended up getting off in the wrong village as Google maps had the hotel location in the wrong place, and we had to spend extra for a car from the hotel to come and fetch us.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff was so nice and friendly, always willing to help. The homemade food was delicious. The room was cute and comfortable. They arranged private transport for us from PEK airport and then back to Beijing. The guesthouse is maybe a 30mn walk from one of the Great Wall’s gates. The staff nicely gave us a ride there and we walked back. A beautiful and much quieter section of the Great Wall. We went there in the afternoon and had it all to ourselves!

The host is very responsive to all my queries.Really appreciate it. The environment is peaceful and got many kinds of flowers that light up our stay. The restaurant itself offering varieties of food and I like the tofu so much. It even got a little cafe.The boss is great at arranging the transport back to the Beijing city even I request it late. Hua Hua Cheng Great Wall nearby is a nice place to explore.

As a solo traveler I felt immidiately very welcomed in this nice guesthouse with great atmoshere with a very good English speaking host. All staff members were amazing kind. My room had the door directly at the garden and was very cosy furnitured. During my stay I visited the tourist place of the lake side of the wall, but they could also tell me some 'secret' wall places to hike to.. Tip: For me, as a solo traveler, the challenge was to get to this guesthouse in a more affordable way (then taking taxi from the city center). I share my 'solution'. I booked a tour to Mituanyu (what is worth it!), but instead of taking the tour transportation back to the center I ordered a Didi (~20 km, ~50 cyn) to the guesthouse. The way back you could do the same (the tour operator even offered me the transport next day instead, but this is no guarantee), but there are several options. I created my own 2 day tour, visited 2 places of the wall with an overnight stay out of the bussy center in this lovely guesthouse ;-)
