On Google maps: Z Plus Mountain Resort Inn Hard to locate on DiDi, search for the "Southeast Gate of Wulingyuan scenic and historic interest area in Zhangjiajie. The hotel is around 500m before on the right (east) side of the road.

Magnificent Hotel in walking distance to the Jianpiao entrance of the Zhangjiajie National Park. It provides fantastic amenities with a swimming pool, billiard and free laundry. The restaurant offers asian and western style food for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a good choice of quality dishes served in a timely manner. The front desk is responsive via WeChat and explain all you need to know about the national park and provide an optimized itinerary so you don't miss the attractions. They even offered to help us out if we encounter an issue in the park.

The rooms are in a separate building up a relatively steep slope, a point to note if you have heavy luggage / elderly.

It was an amazing, peaceful stay with great mountain views. The staff were very helpful - arranging the rides to/fro the train station + recommending the routes to take within the park itself. The location is slightly remote from the main ‘city’ area which was perfect for us but does require getting a taxi getting around. It is within a 10 minutes walk to the Zimugang gate, which I would recommend as it is way less crowded especially during peak season! Overall no regrets, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a respite from the city 😁

Location is a bit remote from city and other attractions with exception of National Park (7 minute walk). Our room is on the third floor and a bit challenge to carry our big luggages (no elevator). Fortunately, the staff is very helpful and help us carry the big luggages. To go to breakfast location is a bit challenge from rooms which is in the back of property. For us we need to go down the stairs (3rd floor), go through sloppy car ramp and go up stairs again (cafe is located on 3rd floor). I think the name resort is a bit misleading. It should be called a homestay. But i give their service a five star. On the last day, the staff offered us free luggage drop off service to airport so we can visit another attractions without carrying our luggage.

Clean, friendly and helpfull staff. Room is spacious and has beautifull view. The facility also offer pick up service with no additional charge. Breakfast is good.

It was an amazing experience at the Avatar Mountain Resort! When we just arrived in the late evening, we were met in the airport and brought to the hotel. Our bed and overall room was already wormed ☺️ Fruits in the room made our arrival also very pleasant. Thank you very much for the provided maps and routs to the National Park with Avatar mountains, to the Caves and Canyon. We really enjoyed our vacation trip! Breakfast and dinners were very nice! For lunch and dinner we found enough options to choose from. Despite raining weather our staying in this hotel was perfect, and we were surrounded with care. Thank you very much!

The staff here were extremely helpful! They catered to us and made our travel arrangements as easy as possible, procuring tickets for us that otherwise would have been difficult. They arranged transport to and from the property and gave us additional help with local drivers. We can’t recommend the staff enough!

The breakfast was repetitive. I set the heater at 30 degrees but it feels like 15 degrees inside, so there was almost no heating to me, thankfully there was an electric blanket. The rooms are up a very steep slope, not exactly a bad point but in case elderlies are coming, it might be a point to consider.

The location was near one of the lesser used entrances to the national park, there were no queues for all the 3 days I went there so it was really fuss free. They also helped you with the ticket bookings and helped you manage your way around the national park by explaining the different routes to you. The room has stunning views and is very quiet and the vibe is really laid back.

The pictures are like 20 years old, they definitely retouch them they are not actual pictures, the place doesn’t have elevator and you have to walk for a road with your lathe and we were at the second floor, the place is old and nothing like the pictures.

Actually I didn’t like it only good thing about it is because it’s close to the mountain.

All the staff at the hotel were absolutely lovely. Extremely helpful and kind. The room was spacious with beautiful mountain views. The dinner in the hotel was very tasty too. The location is very easy to get to the National Park entrance and it's relatively easy to get taxis to the other sites. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay!

I guess it is far for people that prefer accomodation near the city centre.

It was very modern equipped as shown in the pictures. Location very calm, near southeast gate of the Zhangjiajie national park. Staff very kkndle provided every information, act fast.

Location a bit remote, was there during offpeak so Didi in the morning was a bit challenging No lifts available so folks with large/heavy luggages need to be aware, my room was on 3rd level in another wing and going from reception to room is 25 metres away up a slope. Going up 3 levels with no lift a bit challenging. Recept helped with 1 luggage so still have to settle one. However if you can manage these -ve it is worth a stay
