Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandNothing, truly everything was perfect. We wish we would have stayed even more time!
We spent four nigths in the accomodation. Everything was perfect. Zhaoxing IS a wonderfull village and the perfect spot to enjoy the region around. This area IS really authentic, and this Village offers a really good balance between the rural life and the comfort to visit it. Our room had beautiful views to the rice fields. The personal was super kind and helped us a lot to organize what to do and how to move while we where there. We loved also the breakfast and the tea that they prepared for us. I would come back to Creekside Inn and I recommend It to everybody. It was a lovely experience that we will always remember.

SingaporeNothing.
This was one of the best hotels we stayed in China. We were warmly welcomed by the hotel owners and the very kind volunteer, who made our stay in Zhaoxing an excellent one. They made sure for everything to be confortable and smooth. We felt like at home. The view from our room was simply stunning, over the rice fields. You can go there with no hesitation !

MalaysiaThe room comes with great interior and views, located at the end of the village but everywhere is within walkable distance. The staff is really helpful, and they served traditional Chinese brekkie which was so good! Some part of the building is under renovation but didn't affect much of our stay. Overall, a wonderful experience at the stay!

ChinaLike other hotels in ancient town, noise insulation from other guests needs improvement.
Staff (and Ms Li the owner) are very friendly, flexible and helpful indeed. The room is very clean and of stunning view facing the rice terrace field. Breakfast is yummy!

GermanyThe room interior was a little dated but still ok. The main problem with this stay and why I did this poor rating is the location of the hotel and the lack of interest in creating a good and effortless stay for the guests. The location is at the end of the village (5km or so from the ticket office). Only cars of villagers are allowed in the village. After checkout they refused to bring us with our luggage to the parking lot at the ticket office. It was also not possible to get a driver for cash. We had 2 big suitcases and 2 backpacks. We had to walk ~6 minutes up a hill to a shuttle stop. It was really hot and we had to wait more than 15 minutes there. As this shuttle stops like every 20m, it took 10 minutes to the entrance of the village. There we had to pull our luggage another 10 minutes up a hill in the burning sun to get to another shuttle stop. After another 10 min drive we finally arrived nearby the ticket entrance. 50 minutes from the hotel to a place where a non-villager car was allowed to pick us up. 50 minutes of our precious holiday time and we were wet from sweating so the rest of the day wasn't fun in such a condition. Thank you for nothing Creekside Inn. This was such a bad guest experience. Don't stay here, they don't care at all about their guests. Worst experience ever in China after ~80 nights here.
We got an upgrade, which was nice. The room was clean. On arrival a driver picked us up at the ticket office (after some discussion).
