Swimming in the sea isn’t exactly comfortable – you can wade in a bit, but the very strong currents make "normal" swimming impossible. However, this seems to be true for the entire Palomino area. Pay attention to your room choice – I specifically booked a standard bungalow because they are located the closest to the sea, which was my main priority. Instead, I was given a deluxe bungalow, which was slightly farther away. This was presented as an upgrade, but from my perspective, it was more of a downgrade since I valued proximity to the sea above all else. The service at the restaurant is a bit slow, and the beach loungers and mattresses are in need of replacement or repair. These downsides are minor and only small areas for improvement. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

A paradise-like location, very peaceful and quiet, with wonderful bungalows that offer a stay close to nature. The breakfasts are quite decent (though the portions are relatively small, and there are no meat options). The lack of air conditioning in the bungalows is not an issue – yes, it can get a bit warm, but the sea breeze makes it manageable. There are no problems with mobile signal or Wi-Fi – while the connection quality might not be ideal for comfortable remote work, it's more than sufficient for a vacation and staying connected.

Our stay at Aité was truly special and relaxing. The staff were absolutely wonderful, making us feel so welcome and at home. Everyone at Aité went above and beyond to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The hotel itself was peaceful and tranquil, exactly what I was looking for to spend quality time with my family. The food was delicious! Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable.

Dirty sunbeds Breakfast was late most mornings They didn’t fulfill my request of rooms right next to each other even after multiple confirmed messages from them. Staff didn’t seem fazed in the slightest that this upset us a lot and didn’t think it was an issue.

The hotel is located close to Palomino, so it is very convenient. The hotel has a private beach, which is perfect specially during the weekend when other beaches are packed. Breakfast was delicious. And the most important thing to highlight is the service. People were very helpful and friendly.

We couldn't fault anything.

We spent a few very relaxing days here. The food, drinks, and service are exceptional. We can recommend the tubing excursion down the Don Diego river with an excellent guide, with the chance for a swim in the sea at the end and a boat back. We saw lots of incredible wildlife, including monkeys, iguanas and of course an incredible variety of birds. We also very much enjoyed the pool, the games (table tennis and sapo), and lots of time relaxing in the hammocks on our terrace. Our villa was spacious and clean with very comfortable beds, mosquito nets and good air con, and WiFi,not forgetting the uninterrupted view of the beach, with the sea just a few steps away. This is a very special place. Highly recommended. The best place to stay in Palomino by far.

Prices in the restaurant are a bit expensive More variety in the restaurant would be nice No stores in close proximity of the hotel. Not directly connected to the hotel, but if you are booking the transport to/from Santa Marta or other place, it’s best to book it through the hotel. If not and not very clearly said, drivers will not pick you up but you will have to go to the village, to the pick up spot. Not all drivers are clear with that (best avoid the driver Halminton).

Beautiful, beachfront area, where the bungalows are located (looks like a postcard). Spacious, comfortable bungalow with a great design. Delicious breakfast, friendly staff, great massages. The hotel is located within a short beach walk from Palomino, and close to the entrance to the Tayrona National Park.

Not great value for money, quite expensive, breakfast options for vegetarians/vegans needs improving. Fan in the bungalow was weak. We also moved next door for a night as it was full but they didn’t have the courtesy to even use their tuk tuk to drop us off and we got ripped off by the one they called.

Beautiful grounds and really good food at the restaurant for lunch. Close to the beach, peaceful, and nice staff. Great for relaxing.
