Overall the place was pretty good! Just a bit more rustic than expected. The water is shut off multiple times a day. That being said, every time we asked for water they turned it on, no questions asked. I wish they were more up front about the water issue/schedule in their posting on Booking so you know what you are getting into before you arrive. Food took a long time. The staff did tell us to expect this at check-in, but still felt too long since we were maybe the only ones there. There were lots of puddles of water around after heavy rain, which created breeding grounds for lots of mosquitos. There was a leak in the ceiling during the rainfall that left a big puddle on the floor. The response time after booking was slow. We booked 2 days before and asked them to help us with transport, but they didn’t get back to us until the morning of. It was a bit concerning as their location is not easy to get to as there is no actual road thru the desert. In the end, it all worked out and they came through with a driver for us at a reasonable cost.

The rooms were beautiful, especially the outdoor shower. The AC worked well. The bed was comfortable. The beach is great! Food was good and the juices were delicious. Staff was very friendly. Staff helped arrange transport for us.

They turn the water off at night to preserve water, which is great, but I was ill my first night there so having water would have been helpful

I love how remote the hotel is, perfect for a beach escape! It’s so calming and the staff are great. It’s still easy to get to as well as you can get a taxi from the nearest town

The service was not the best. Staff was not very attentive. They seemed understaffed at the restaurant and the service was at times painfully slow. The food was hit and miss. Some was good, some was not good at all.

The rooms were basic but clean, simple and tastefully decorated. The mattresses were excellent, everything was clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly… not a given in this area of Colombia

The menu was a bit limited and it got boring eating at the same place. Thst being said the food and drink prices were very reasonable

The beach was stunning. It was a great place to relax, enjoy the quiet and walk the beautiful beaches. We were lucky enough to see a flock of flamingos fly . Amazing sunsets. My husband kite surfed every day. We were the only people there, which was fine with us. The staff were very friendly. The location is very remote so not a lot you can do except for relax and walk the beach and enjoy. The rooms were very nice and the wifi was incredible. We could stream shows to watch which was nice. Overall or is still a work in progress but if you are looking for a place to unwind yet still be connected virtually, this is it!

There was a water issue during holy week that was complicated to understand the times of when the water would be on or off. There are two beds in the room, one queen and one twin, but the twin bed was fairly uncomfortable and without support.

Really beautiful experience in a unique and tranquil location! Great food and very relaxing. We enjoyed hanging out on the beach, watching the sunset, drinking margaritas, and swimming in the ocean and the pool

I loved the beach and the fact that it is a small hotel so is not crowded. The staff is friendly and nice and the facilities are well maintained. Contact the hotel first, they can give you directions about getting to the place

I think the best part was reaching the hotel, driving through the desert to the beach was a real adventure, it was fun. The hotel is nice, there are just few rooms so not many guests around, no music besides the swimming pool area which is really nice and far away from the rooms so there are no noises. The hotel has a Tulum style decoration, open air shower in the bathroom so you can get a shower looking at the moon. The beach is really nice, huge with enough beds for everybody. If you're seeking a quiet and private space away from noisy guests, this is the place. Staff was really nice and the owner too. I suggest to buy food and beverage before, as the restaurant closes at 8.last but not least, ac was working perfectly.

Super chill and quiet place with an amazing pool and perfect beach. The staff was very helpful. Julian and Jeanne were great. There’s lots of street dogs in la Guajira and they have a few they’ve adopted and take good care after which is amazing to see compared to other hotels in the area.

It is hard to get there and once you are there it is expensive to go to the closest town. The tour agency they partner with over charges and under deliver.

The place is a paradise, quite, remote and relaxing. The food is great. A true retreat with the most beautiful sight of the ocean and the sky. We had the privilege to catch the July super moon and it was an experience out of this world.

The communication previous of my arriving could be better, maybe send a doc as soon as I do a reservation with how can I be there, what I need and how I can enjoy more activities there.

The food experience was amazing, the locals put something of their culture to share with the tourists a different gastronomic experience. I'll comeback and try other dishes.

the place is right next to the beach, very kind staff, really good food, you are going to be cut of the noisy surroundings! in an amazing beach perfect to chill and relax it’s windy so amazing if you come for kite surfing, there is a very good school on side.

The beach towels have extra costs. No shampoo or hairdryers and no stores next to buy things. The way from the main road to the hotel is not well marked and difficult to find. It’s a long walking from the rooms to the beach and restaurant and at night is not enough light to walk. The restaurant takes long time for the food. The rooms have not really hooks or space to put your cloth or towels. The service was not to all guests nice it depends.

The location is a nice place. The beach is beautiful. We enjoyed the beach and the ocean, only some jellyfish were keeping us close to the beach and not to swim. The rooms are nice.

We never understood how the restaurant operated. Breakfast was at 07.30, first food was served at 08.55. You always waited more than one hour for the food even if you were the only guests. Even if the hotel is quite new, it is also very simple. Nothing in the room but the bed and sofa.

The location by the sea, the nature and the silence. If you go to stay here you should not think about time or being connected to the world. Everything goes really slow.

The look does not make up for the inconveniences. The road conditions are horrible if it was not for my driving skills I would have got stuck in the mud or the sand. The hotel did not let you know about the conditions prior to arrival. The internet works but you have to sit in the lounge to use it because your bedroom might be without power if they had rain. The night was noisy with the generator running all night to keep some lights on in the complex and the fridges going. Everything gets dirty your shoes your clothing the room because of the sand. If you expecting luxury accommodation book elsewhere.

The only thing that this hotel has got going for it is the look of the place and the friendly staff the were helpful, it is beautiful and the location is remote and the landscapes great. So great for photos but that is about where it stops.
