Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The bathrooms were dirty, the trash was not cleaned often enough. The rooms are hot and very small, people come in late at night from a night out partying and the beds have no curtains. It is what it is. I'd still stay here again for few nights to go out!
This is the best place to stay as a solo traveller who wants to go out in Poblado and meet people, be social... Also, there are many nice hammocks and a rooftop to chill on. The pool is very small though.

The traffic nearby is noisy and gives bad smells on the terrace where you have breakfast. Breakfast can be good one day, and then the next day they don't have any fruit anymore... that was a pitty.
Little swimming on the roof, perfect for the kids to cool down! The pool table as well! Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff that helps you out.

The dorm beds have no curtains, it`s clearly shown on the hostel`s pictures, so it was no surprise and it was for a night but I personally wouldn`t choose this hostel for a longer stay in a dorm because of that. A matter of personal preferences :)
I stayed only one night in a 6 people dorm. Great common spaces, the kitchen is adequately equipped, great vibes. Ideally situated within the Poblado, in a safe enough distance that you don`t feel like sleeping inside a party.

The atmosphere was off due to too many Israelis. Some were nice, but others were just cliquey,The area is nice,but it can be a bit nosey sometimes.
I liked the staff and location,I liked that it was near lots of activities. The fans were nice,The price was quite good for the area.

When we arrived the police were at reception. Bad sign. Something had obviously gone down. The water had gone out in the entire district (obviously not the hostel's fault) but the location was not for us! Banging music, shrieking guests, and smelly drains! Party Central with a seedy vibe. The area was okay during the day, but took a nose dive after dark. Our balcony door didn't lock, but they fixed it there and then. This place is okay if you're 20, and don't require much sleep, but if you want a quieter time, avoid this area. We decided to check out early and the re-funded us no problem.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast.

I didn’t like that it specifically says a “4 bed dorm” and when you show up it’s actually 4 bunks of 8 beds, no air conditioning/air circulation 2 small windows that the other guests pull the blinds over so it smells like sweat and feet in the closed room of 8 people. There are several dorms sharing one shower and one toilet usually the garbage overflowing with waste because of the amount of people.

I had a personal problem in this hostel because I lost my shirt, I feel they could have helped me more to find it but they didn't, so take care of your personal things if you are there, also this place it’s difficult to make friends because there are many people from Israel.
This place has a pretty good location. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom were clean and two guys in reception are super nice
