Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The staff was so kind and accommodating! We really enjoyed the daily breakfasts and loved the view from the roof. We found it to be a great value for the quality of stay we experienced!

the hotel is in nice location of el poblado , close to santafe mall . Gregory the manager is very nice guy , helpfull and give you all instruction and location to visit other touristic places .

For the amount you pay this is such a great place. Was way nicer, quieter and better than a more expensive hotel we stayed in before and 1/3 of the price. Staff was wonderful and the rooftop jaccuzi is great.

The owner is incredibly helpful and friendly. I was working remotely and before I arrived, my laptop charger stopped working. The owner researched chargers and offered to go out and buy me one so it was ready for my arrival as I would arrive in the evening and had to work early the next day. It is fantastic value in a great location. Breakfast was lovely with the rooftop view.

Grigori was so kind ang helpful to me on arrival. He provided some wonderful recommendations in Medellin. Comfortable room with a good shower. Nice breakfast with eggs, fruit and juice included. Great value for money.

Super affordable, clean, breakfast included, coffee/tea + purified water available 24/7. Above all super friendly owner and staff that went out of their way to make our stay good. 5 star service!

Everything was great!
Great hostel in calm and green area, very friendly staff, the breakfast is delicious. There is a TV with Netflix in the room!

Guests can be inconsiderate of others and that can be a nuisance in common areas. But nothing worth noting. Otherwise, this is hands down the best hostel I've experienced in over 15 countries!
Excellent location, and amazing staff! Near El Tesoro shopping center, rooms with insuite, and access to the kitchen and rooftop terrace with hot tub. Breakfast was delicious eggs made to order, and then some! The owner is an amazing person, who cares about the guests, and their experience in the guesthouse and country. The staff are all very sweet and helpful. Best lodging experience I've had, globally, and highly recommend it!

Shower wasn’t hot but staff were going to check the issue right away, I also would’ve liked it to be a bit cleaner.
Loved the jacuzzi, location and staff were lovely. Value for money is great.

It had 2 kitchens, jacuzzi, wifi, free breakfast and comfortable rooms.
They were extremely friendly with very good tips, advice and knowledge of the area. They were accommodating, adjusting and went above and beyond for me.

Nothing.
The location is a bit out of the way from the touristy area, a 40 minute walk, but we liked that. Its very close to a nice park for morning exercises, transport options pass the front door and there are convience stores, supermarket and eateries within a 5 minute walk. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. The breakfast is fantastic kept us going most of the day. The staff are very friendly and helpful and went over and above all expectations. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again.

A bit far from the centre of El Poblado, you can walk there but the way back is steep. More soundproofing of the rooms wouldn't hurt.
Nice terrace with jacuzzi e sofas. Good breakfast. Nice room. Excellent staff.

Everything! The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money we had a private room with ensuite and it included breakfast which the staff made on request of how you’d like your eggs. We loved it so much we extended our stay! Perfect location too in nice neighbourhood!

Despite what other reviews say, the hostel is far from El Poblado and there’s nothing much near so you have to Uber everywhere particularly at night for safety. Not sociable at all - if you’re a solo traveller book somewhere in the centre!
The room was extremely comfortable, with a fan, TV with Netflix, en-suite bathroom and private balcony. They offer to clean the rooms every day and provided a great laundry service for 20,000. Reception were super friendly and breakfast was good (great juices and served with a lovely view on the terrace!).
