Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The street the hostel was located on did not feel super safe, even though nothing happpened and it probably was. The staff was not very helpful in planning a day trip to Guatapé, so we figured that out ourselves. Lastly, all but one showers were broken for some time on our last day - they quickly fixed it within an hour or two.
I was travelling with a group of 5 friends so we shared a 6 bed dorm which was spacious, with high ceilings - and the house the hostel was located in was beautiful, too. We very much enjoyed the restaurant on the first floor which had delicious lunch, dinner, drinks and even vegetarian options. Also had a laundry service so we could have our things washed!

The location is a Big No Go. My own fault cuz i didn't check properly. I just thought the centre would be the best place to stay. Nope! Surrounded by homeless, prostituees and drug addicts. When i went out for food after 6 everyone looked at me and my pockets looking for a quick steel. Did not dare to look at my phone outside. Back in the hostel a guy told me he was just scammed at the atm and lost his money. The "guard' was in on it he told me i tried to check out after 1 night but no refund possible. I did stayed another night but didn't leave the hostel for food that night. Please check if you are comfortabele with this area before you book.
the hostel itself is absolutely great! Nice staff and really clean. Nice spacious showers l, even a dry bench for your stuff outside the shower itself.

Even though the location is good, it is situated on a street full of homeless people who use the sidewalk as a toilet, and you can smell it even in the reception. Poor breakfast: bad tiny bread, one fruit, and bad coffee. Plus, there is always someone telling you to take just one or two pieces. The housekeepers work the morning shift only, after 4/5 pm, no one takes care of cleanliness. Some unconscious people would leave dirty cups on the cowork desk, and they would stay there for days. Bugs and cockroaches come out of the wooden floor all the time. The bathrooms are well-distributed, but if someone else showers at the same time as you, forget about hot water. Some people came to the dorm around 1 am, and the bed above mine was not made that morning, so the receptionist turned the light on and made it at that moment. Why not? There are definitely places with the same bad conditions that cost less, don't expect an outstanding hostel just because of the price.
There is only one good thing about this place, and it is the travelers I met!

I booked a private room but did not know it would be in between the lobby and kitchen and in front of a communal bathroom. There was no window in the room except for a window facing the corridor (and the bathroom). I decided not to stay in the room because I also found the room kind of too humid.
The staff were super nice and welcoming.

Don’t stay here!! First, the majority of rooms don’t have windows! This means it’s very stuffy and hot, and no daylight at all (since most rooms are in the basement). Second, staff is rude (except for one) and really unkind and unwelcoming to guests (bad attitude). Third, the bar is noisy. We booked a double room which had a picture with a window, but then we were put in a less nice room. We asked for the room with window, but it turned out to be the family room (which was not available and more expensive = typical trick). In the end we had to change rooms several times (although we booked the room with window for three nights). We are very unsatisfied with the way this was dealt with. Do not stay here!!
It’s clean and has an attempt for style, but not as nice as the pictures for sure

Private room was not very private, no ceiling on bathroom, window to the hallway. Staff seemed not bothered. Location is a bit scary and unsafe.
Good value for money, breakfast included. Hot shower.

I was not keen on the location, not much around except plaza botera. Even the local uber drivers were asking me why I stayed there and said it wasn't a good area. Several locals recommended to not walk around at night there. Secondly, it was super hot in the room even with my little fan going. I slept bad both nights. I heard other people in my room complain about how hot it was too at night, and how they didn't sleep good. It was much cooler outside than in our rooms. Also the door to get in and out of the hostel was annoying at times. Sometimes would open, sometimes would not. I would choose a different hostel next time in Medellin.
The hostel itself was pretty cool inside. I like that the beds had curtains which added some privacy. The welcome drink was a nice sweet touch. Very affordable. Friendly staff.

Only one day there was no hot shower as boiler broke down.. but fixed next day
First time for me and my son at a Hostel and was a great experience with its cleanliness and superb staff! Even the people staying there were all friendly and mature with helping me translating…. Few homeless people outside but that’s every street in Medellin… definitely recommend it as this included free basic help yourself breakfast too …
