Fact that you have to constantly push a Lutton for water in the shower. Real pain at the band basin. Can’t even wash your hands properly as have to use one hand to push the button

Great location, close to everything and bus too marsol. Friendly staff, nice big common areas inside w kitchen and terrace. Very clean. Staff constantly sweeping and washing floors.

Great and cheap place!! Good kitchen and bathroom facilities, they give you a towel for free, the place is silent and ideal to sleep well as rooms have AC. It is located in front of Marsol bus stop.

Just that it gets really hot in the common areas and the bathroom. But that’s it.

Probably one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, super spacious, very very clean, it had a kitchen, big bathroom, spacious table where you could eat dinner with everyone. Also, the rooms were great - privacy curtains, soft sheets and pillow, towel. I was really happy with my stay here. Aircon gets turned on in the room during the evenings. Great location, walking distance to Santa Marta Marina, restaurants, shops etc.. Finally, the staff were really lovely, they organised a taxi to come pick us up early in the morning so they were always happy to help!

It’s about one block outside the main area with all the shops and restaurants but that was fine with me.

I came to Distrito Hostel because the hostel I had booked originally was extremely dirty and uncared for - Distrito Hostel was immensely clean, has a huge bathroom, is generally a nice space, they had a cute kitten and also the guests were respectful. The bunk beds have curtains and lockers, which was good

Great hostel. The staff was excellent, everyone was very helpful and especially Michael who was a wealth of knowledge about tourist information. The hostel is modern, beds are comfortable, the kitchen is very good as well as the Wifi. It is one of the few places I have stayed where there are cleaning people working day and night to make sure the place is always well maintained.

The property itself was ok. What deeply concerns me is the taxi transfer they organized for me, which was a complete rip-off. They know about it and they don’t do anything about it! I asked for a taxi from the market (where the bus from Tayrona arrives), as I came back later at night. I also asked for the price in advance. They told me they would not know and it would be according to taxometer. Of course the taxometer „did not work“. The driver wanted 30‘000 COP from me, which is almost the price I paid for a private transfer from Santa Marta airport to my first hotel. I told him I would not pay more than 10‘000 COP, which I still think is too high for this short distance. Since I only had a 20bill I asked him for change. He just took the money and threatened me with the police. Complete rip-off plus being threatened by a taxi organized by this hostel. This is a complete No-Go!

Good location for one night, next to the bus stop for transfer to Cartagena.
