Let's get to meat of potatoes of this stay........ My wife and I were treated with the utmost professionalism, enthusiasm, and care. Front desk ( Jessica and Lena ) were there for any and all requests. Indira (Dining hostess ), Andrea ( Dining sever/ support), Alejandro ( Dining server/ support ). These individuasl out shined ALL others in their roles compared to ALL other vacation experiences in the past....When I say outshines ALL others ,I mean whatever they are doing is top notch.....I didn't get dollared to death........I always bring a couple of bags of American chocolates ( kisses, Dove bites)to hand out generously to staff for their efforts...They smile extra when they see me ......that's right. Breakfast included with a stay of 7 nights........Fantastic buffet , everything from fruits,eggs made to my liking....... various breads, creals, fresh squeezed juices and you know who King of the hill is when it comes to coffee. COLOMBIA!!! Chef is on sight for any requests besides what is being offered on buffet... The hotel, room ,hallways , bathrooms, gym 2nd floor, and common areas were ultra clean....... I ate there alot .( breakfast ,lunch and dinner)...Every entree was consumed happily and I was very impressed ........Presentation, quality, price point..............I was hooked from day one in a very good way.......For the men I recommend Alladins Barber shop...down the hill...make a right......About a hundred feet on right.........Best haircut of my whole life..58 years on this earth.. Geraldo was my barber........Felt like a new man after that session. That transformation he created cost me about 7 dollars, tip included.......had to do the nails for a couple bucks the next day.....They still look awesome a week later .....Wow........For the ladies..........just walk across the street from the hotel for an AWESOME hair cut. My Colombian wife looks ten years younger and she was quite impressed with her stylist....

Food was cold and breakfasts eggs were undercooked and looked terrible. Not enough personel at breakfast. A bit chaotic. Wifi constantly intereupted

It was all good. They appear to need more staff to handle the restaurant for lunch & dinner; we waited 2 times, but the server took so long, that we left.

Quiet and safe street but you'll have to take a taxi Uber or bus to most attractions and to go out. I lost something & the staff went above and beyond to return it to me after I had left the country. They work hard. Breakfast is amazing compared to USA hotels; they give a lot of food, but the hot food was not fresh one morning. Rooms & beds are super comfy. It has a nice beer place attached to the hotel.

Excellent very well trained professional staff, who can deal efficiently with any situation, good or bad. Thank you for all your support when I had issues with a friend. The security is also very professional, but discrete, which is great! Excellent place to stay! Highly recommended!

The alarm clock didn't work to set an alarm

We didn't have a great experience with the hotel's car service. We thought he drove recklessly and we did not feel safe.

Stefanie at the front desk greeted us and was wonderful throughout our stay. The room was enormous and very comfortable. The location was ideal to walk to various shops and restaurants. There's a great microbrew pub in the hotel and a fantastic wine bar across the street.

Breakfast was good different options, all days. Rooms was bigger than we expected. Hotel driver was awesome giving us lots of details about the city. Price was really good. Close to Monserrate.

The room was a little bare - no art work and the cupboard were older.

This review is hidden because it doesn't meet our guidelines.

Building needs renovations, everything looks and feels rundown. Rooms without AC. Decor is old. Breakfast is just ok-ish. No views to anything other than the residential neighbours next door. Tiny, few elevators. Gym is a joke, they should be ashamed of even claiming to have a gym.

Close to some good restaurants. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean.

We stayed three nights in this hotel. Our experience didn’t start off very well as we had a mixup in our dates and tried to contact the hotel several times, various ways, before arriving but we got no response. Communication should be easier for a guest. Overall, we don’t think this is worthy of 4 stars as we stayed in many hostels during our trip that were better.

Our recent stay at Estelar in Chapinero had its ups and downs. While the overall experience was enjoyable, the mini-bar policy was disappointing. An upfront debit of over 50,000 COP, along with IVA, was charged to my card as potential credit for the mini-bar—a policy that felt both unnecessary and poorly thought out. Adding to the frustration, the mini-bar prices were exorbitant, making the whole approach seem more like a revenue-generating tactic than a guest-friendly feature. A simpler, more transparent approach—like including the correct room rate upfront—would significantly enhance the guest experience. That said, one shining star of our stay was Edwin, whose exceptional service deserves recognition. Over New Year’s, he single-handedly managed a busy breakfast room with calm, professionalism, and a warm demeanor. The tip I gave him, thanks to that mini-bar debit, felt far better spent on acknowledging his efforts than on the mini-bar float! Edwin truly made a positive impact on our stay.

I will never stay at this hotel ever again. Our stay at Estelar suites was ruined by feeling like we got robbed by the hotel for the cost of laundry (for which we were charged 400,000 COP (approx $100 USD) for two bags of laundry. We were not warned about the cost and only told the price after it was returned to us. We never thought to ask for the price as we had never been charged more than $20 USD for the same amount of washing. It was a complete scam and a rip off as it cost about as much as we paid to stay at the hotel for two nights. The hotel staff should have warned us when we dropped it off that it would be so expensive. It ruined the end of our trip.

Breakfast is not very diverse. It was very hard to get vegan food. Stairs outside are dangerous. I fell down with my baby and sprained my ankle. Nobody asked after how was I doing.
