Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Very beautiful place, clean with good facilities. The owner Carlos is the nicest guy I’ve met in colombia and he takes care for everything you need.

This hostel is one of the nicest I have stayed in. Really nice hot showers and a great free breakfast every morning! The staff are all very helpful and the owner Carlos was very helpful in making sure I had the best stay. The location is very good too and is close to the cable car station which can take you directly to the bus station.

it’s probably the first time I give 10/10 score on Booking.com, and this place worth it. - big and comfortable beds in the dorms - a lot of places to chill (even a cinema room and a PlayStation!!) + great kitchen - great location - cute design - very lovely and helpful staff

The bes matresses could be slightly more soft.
Different juice for breakfast every day, nice terrace overlooking the old part of town, not a prty hostel so quiet in the night, super friendly staff.

Great location and very friendly staff. The owners also run the AirNomads Colombia expedition company, which we did two tours with and both of which were absolutely brilliant. The staff are also happy to organise other trips and are full of advice on the local area.. Good facilities and bathrooms and a good breakfast which is cooked fresh for when you arrive at the table.

The bed was not really comfy and there was only one blanket. The bathroom smells.
The environment in the hostel is great, everything looks good, there are multiple working areas, a "cinema" room and games too. The staff is very kind.

This hostel has the most helpful, supportive, friendly, open owner, I have ever experienced. He definitely goes beyond the extra mile to make his guests feel welcomed! + he speaks excellent English! I would recommend to stay here a thousand times!

I love this hostel! It is abundantly clear that the staff love it too. It's clean, there are so many common areas and they are all awesome. Places to work. A movie room. Best of all, there is HOT water in the shower!! Oh and they run their own tours, and the one I took was phenomenal!

Quite noisy and no outside window. Entrance quite off putting. Receptionist tried to give me a room with a shared bathroom even though I had booked a private bathroom. Had long discussion/disagreement. Not great but she gave me a private bathroom in the end.
Hot shower good and kitchen well equipped and clean. Room I eventually got was very comfortable.

When we booked a room with "private bathroom" we expected the bathroom to open off the room. Instead, we had to go down the corridor to a space with adjoining washbasins for 2 rooms and "our" shower/toilet just behind. That's not what I call a private bathroom. The rooms all faced onto an inner courtyard, which could be noisy.
It was in a very convenient location in the centre of town.

We had a private room. The beds are horrible. Super hard. Might as well sleep on the ground. It’s also very loud. The rooms don’t seal so you can hear everything. The bathrooms of adjoining rooms are connected so you can hear all the stuff your neighbor does in the bathroom
Super clean. Good location. Breakfast is delicious.

We cooked in the evening pasta. One day after we checked out and leave our luggage in the hostel. When we returned at night we really hurry to get our bus and the owner of the hostel used it to take from us 10000 pesos just because we used 3 tomatoes from the kitchen the day before. We didn't have time to argue with him and payed him. But this behavior is not acceptable. The things in the kitchen that don't have name on it is for everyone. That is in every hostel I was in. And also 3 tomatoes don't cost 10000 pesos even in my country that is count expensive. This hostel owner is a thief and I suggest you not going there
