Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsHostel can be noisy during the night. Of course this depends on guests and is not in hand of the staff.
Staff was really friendly and helpful. Helped with anything we needed until late. Breakfast was simple but good. Many places to sit down and relax or seek company! Location is great.

ColombiaWhere there is abundant room for improvement is the bathrooms. The showers in the first place, don't even have curtains nor anything that could keep the water from spreading, besides the walls of the showers are rather small, and the space is quite limited which makes it unconformable.
It looks from outside like a humble house, but, once you come in, after the reception you find a kice kitchen with a couple of hallways that takes you all the way into the hostel's facilities. With a wide social area with bar and space to socialize, but separated enough to keep the peace at the dormitories. Everything in good conditions and open space. Quite advance in several ways.

United KingdomFantastic. The staff are the best. Warm, friendly, welcoming. Always happy to help or have a chat. Room and bathroom were very clean. Lots of great chill areas. Bed felt very private because of the curtain and dedicated power outlet/ lamp. Location is great - close to museums, restaurants, etc. And I felt safe.

FranceThe hostel is super well located, just near the museums and the Plaza de Bolivar. It was super super clean and cute, the atmosphere was very social (I’d definitely recommend to solo travelers for instance). The staff is super welcoming and adorable. I really can’t find any flaws. Thanks again for that stay !

United StatesIt was a little maze-like inside the building and somewhat difficult to know where to go. If someone would stay there a little bit longer than I did they would not have an issue!
The bed was very comfortable and the hostel has good common areas for cooking, working and hanging out. There is a net hammock that you can lay on. The hostel is really cute. The breakfast was good. The bed has a curtain, a light and its own plug. The showers had good, hot water.

United KingdomThe shower was mostly clean but one morning it was a bit dirty. The rest of the hostel was perfectly clean and the bedrooms were great. Room didn’t have external windows or fan but we slept well.
Great location close to main attractions, good communal areas, very helpful staff. Great bar, kitchen and sound proof door.

SpainAs the room gives on to common areas, there is not much privacy and it's a bit hard to air the room after a shower, but really not a big problem.
The hostel is right in the heart of the action in La Candelaria. I immediately felt at home, there are loads of common areas to hang out and meet people. Good choices for breakfast. I stayed in a private room, bed was comfy and great hot shower. WiFi was good in the room and in common areas.

CanadaThe shared bedrooms were definitely too small and tight, leaving a lot of messiness around. Because there was no ventilation, the odour and stuffiness got too much at times.
I loved how big the place was and the people staying in it were all either very friendly or stuck to their own thing and was still very considerate not to bother. The staff, especially the chef, Miguel, were amazingly helpful, accommodating, and friendly. If you want a large space with many people staying in it where you can make new friends, this is the place to be.

AustriaOur room was right next to the kitchen and it was very loud in the morning starting at 7 am. Some more hooks or a cupboard etc. would be nice - there was almost no space to hang your clothes
Nice, comfortable and clean rooms and beds. Huge bed as well which we appreciated! Great food at the bar, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location within walking distance to the historical center of Bogotá. Would definitely stay here again.

United KingdomAll minor points but: The communal kitchen was practically nonexistent, it was tiny, so only a couple of people could cook at any one time. Consequently, options were limited. The beds have hard metal frames that can be tough to climb if on the top bunk & there’s lots of squeaky floorboards, which can make being quiet difficult when moving around certain dorms. Not many communal loos or showers for the whole hostal to share.
Friendly and helpful staff always on hand to answer any queries. Laundry service available and on site food/bar for meals was a nice option to have instead of cooking always. Locked dorms and lockers inside was good for security & all beds have curtains for privacy, as well as lights and a socket point to charge your electronics. In a decent area, a short walk to several amenities and shops. I stayed more than once.
