Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The staff is the nicest and most helpful we ever met! Big thank you to the 3 guys at reception: Gio, Alfredo & Daniel. My partner was actually sick during our stay and they went above and beyond to help us find a doctor and a clinic were we could undergo blood test. I just can’t thank them enough. They made sure our stay was still enjoyable and cared for us the whole time. The service is unreal and we love this place!

The men’s bathrooms are quite far from the dorms, meaning you end up running through half the hostel with your shower attire
Highly recommended - books out quickly! Exceptional value for money, beds are super comfortable, have proper blankets and pillows as well as privacy curtains which allow for a good sleep, especially in the 6-bed dorms that are not facing the street as the 8-bed ones. Staff (Alfredo and his colleagues) is super professional and 24/7 available which is great when arriving on international flights, they offer great tours, have a nice social vibe and create a great community. Came back two times during my trip and would always again!

There was renovations going on so a bit noisy. The 4 bed dorm I was in was super small, there was barely any space to move around or put your stuff. Next time I would stay in a 6 bed dorm, they seem bigger
It’s a small, beautiful hostel in a great location. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is good and relatively cheap. It’s easy to meet people

Food could be improved. I would have liked there to be a few more vegetarian options.
Very social, easy to meet people as a solo traveler. Staff were super helpful and nice. Good location, right in La Candelaria and so very close to popular museums and sights. I enjoyed my stay and was a great start to my time in Colombia

could do with more toilets there was 4 showers and two toilets for women. the outside bar was closed because of rain which was a shame
got a nice private little bunk to yourself with a curtain for privacy. only stayed one night but wouldn’t mind staying longer. was the perfect amount of people too, enough to be social and not too much that it’s a party. good place if you want to make friends but not party too much

It's a good idea to bring your own pillow case, since the ones there seemed overly used. Mine had some strands of hair in it when I arrived.
The lockers (a 30-litre backpack could be fit in them), the hot showers (necessary in Bogotá's weather), the key they give you to open the front door on your own, the fact that the dorms doors were also lockable, how silent it was at night.

Bathrooms are very small and cramped, hot water didn’t work well for the shower. Bathrooms were not regularly cleaned. Wifi in the room didn’t work well. There isn’t much common space for getting some work done on a laptop other than the communal kitchen. There are so many doors, you don’t know which ones are private and which ones are just part of the hallway. Old property means noise/sound travel very easily. Not many hangers in the room for organizing clothes and personal items, a so common problem in Colombia.
Good location for first time visitors.
