Small hotel with a cottage vibe. The staff was excellent. The location is close to the main street but far enough to avoid the crowds The breakfast is excellent with 3 options which is rarely seen at other hotels in Colombia.

Amazing staff especially Anderson, he was helpful and friendly. He speaks English which is great. Camila was also very nice. We had a wonderful time at Makao - the food was good, the room was clean and the location was great. The AC works well and there is hot water.

It was pretty much perfect. The waves are really audible in the rooms which is a huge plus for most but if u get bothered by noise just be aware/bring ear plugs.

Amazing place! We read some reviews discouraging us from coming to palomino but we are so glad we came. It’s a special unique place and saying at this hotel made it even more special. The food here was great. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Many reviews say you can’t swim here which I guess yes it’s not a place to go for a full swim or snorkel but we definitely got in the waves and cooled off. Overall we would stay again.

Access is very difficult, especially if you drive. That’s not the hotel’s fault but maybe a suggestion would be for them to notify their guests which road NOT to take. Breakfast might appear a little small if you eat as much as I do but since food is reasonably priced, you can take a second portion :)

Staff members are really helpful, friendly and cheerful, they go an extra mile to help! Food is very good. The location and vibe are amazing.

Amazing location directly at the beach, fabulous staff. Margarita and all others were Super helpful. Great Surf instructors William and Pablo from Surf con Jose. Lovely rooms and food. It is worthwhile to take the more expensive room with sea view. We didn’t and I regretted it!

Wonderful staff always willing to help and accommodate the guests. When we got there the beach and the sea conditions were not good we could not basically swim or surf as the sea was too turbulent and the owner accepted our request to shorten the trip to one night less . He was really nice . Best break of my whole stay in Colombia!

The location was fabulous - a little piece of paradise on the Caribbean Coast. This hotel is an absolute gem in Palomino! From the moment I arrived, the relaxed and welcoming vibe made it clear I’d chosen the perfect place to stay. The staff are super friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless and enjoyable. The menu is great with a good selection of dishes and fabulous wines too.

The AC was a bit loud and one time there was no power. There were also a few ants, but after cleaning they were gone.

The location is amazing overlooking the ocean. The staff are very helpful, they arranged massages for us which were excellent. The food was good.

The staff at the hotel are incredible. Particular shout out to Anderson who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He provided us with so much information, organised transportation and even taught us some Spanish. The hotel is in a lovely location for surfing and wandering into town for dinner and drinks. On one of our nights, the hotel had live music with a special menu and new cocktail. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Staff were the best we have experienced in our trip to Colombia, exceptional. The hotel is very boujee and nicely located on the beach. The room with the seaview is amazing.
