Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRoom itself is fairly basic, the shower has very little pressure and wasn’t that hot. Food a bit overpriced.

United StatesThe property is stunningly beautiful. The pool is completely natural, the private cabins are very romantic, and there are these incredible nets you can lay on to watch the sunset and stargaze at night. The restaurant has a very delicious menu with lots of gluten free options. The windows in the cabins have screens which is good to keep the bugs out. The view from the pool is enchanting. You have to try this house specialty chocolate-coffee martini. It was one of the best drinks I have tasted. The staff was very accommodating and kind to us. A special shout out to Yaneris for helping me get a thermos of hot water for my nighttime tea. A special shout out to Fabián for helping me and my partner find this hidden waterfall and helping us find the trail. Overall an incredible place, definitely worth paying the extra money for the transportation to get to Campano.

Finland-
The place was beautiful, surrounded by mountains, a really pretty spot. The hotel staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable and staying in a tent accommodation was an experience. Getting to the hostel was also an adventure, on motorcycle, which was a little scary.

CanadaIt is a TREK to get there and really removed from the sites of Minca unless you are okay paying to go back and forth (but it can get pricey and it's about 40 minutes one way). You need to bring the most high octane mosquito and bug repellant - they are intense.
The location was stunning, the staff were exceptional, and the food at the restaurant was pretty great. The views are really hard to beat. They have these really cool lounging nets to hang out in and a spring water pool. If you like dogs and cats, there are a few and they're all pretty friendly.

CanadaAbsolutely stunning views!!! Whether from looking out from our room, the restaurant or the pool/bar, there were spectacular vistas of the Sierra Nevadas all around. Staff were awesome, really friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Chilly at night but we loved that and they have extra blankets if needed. Giant hammock for lounging by reception area - we very much enjoyed stargazing and the view of Santa Marta all lit up at night from it. Rooms are not bug/mosquito proof though, so bring your bug spray! The pool is cold so get your swimming in during the daylight unless you're looking for a cold plunge. Food was very tasty. We saw many birds flying from tree to tree, including toucans, as well as moths & butterflies while there (only 1 night but we wish we could've stayed at least 2 more nights). The ride up the mountain is an adventure of its own, its very high up on narrow switchbacks. Be prepared to hire a 4x4 transport (150,000 k each way from Minca) to get there. Do not try to arrange a ride through uber or moto taxis. Uber wouldn't take us past Minca and though our mototaxis tried their best, they were not able to make it up the mountain much beyond the pavement as it had rained the day before and the road was pure mud. If it's rained at all in the last 72 hours, you'll probably end up hiking it the rest of the way (we learned this the hard way lol). Hotel can help you arrange an appropriate ride if you contact them a day in advance.

Czech RepublicBiting flies, bring long trousers. No towels in the most expensive rooms overlooking the city of Santa Marta.
View, view and view! Excellent. Adventurous ride to the hotel from Minca on motorbikes (35 000 pesos per person). We read the reviews so we had no problem getting there and back. Free morning walk to the waterfalls with local guide. Helpful staff.

CanadaIt’s very isolated. Unless you have access to a 4x4, you are captive there for your stay, and have to eat and drink at their facilities (which were good). But we stayed 2 nights and it was perfect. If we had a fridge in the room for beverages and snacks, it would have been even better.
The view is exceptional. We loved our cabin balcony. We went on a free guided hike to a waterfall, which they offer every morning.

FinlandNote that this is a quite remote location. Once you go up, there is no cheap and easy way down daily. So bring all the stuff you need on your stay as you enter. They do not sell anything besides restaurant and bar food and drinks. Food was horrible. Drinks were good! Customer service was okay, but nothing to write home about.
Amazing scenery from the top of Minca. The view was the best it could be. The premises were clean and rooms were as described. Bathrooms were tidy and spacious. There were two dogs and three cats, all very friendly and super cute!

ColombiaThe road to get there. Was a little bit difficult to get there but we completely understand that this is because it's a natural reserve.
The place is amazing and the views are breathtaking! I went with my family and the views, the staff, the place, the food, the pool were excellent. The only bad thing is the road to get there but we had peace and an amazing time while there. We're planning to go back again. We love the weather, just perfect 🫶 the staff was so friendly they they have a wide variety of food in their menu.

FranceI wish I had nothing to say here, but there is misleading information in the description of the hotel that lead to major frustration: We travelled with a rental car and suitcases and chose the hotel based on the information that it provides parking facilities. This implies you can get there by car and are able to easily circulate during your stay; we reserved their non refundable rate and the booking confirmation specified a parking space for our car was included in the rate. When arriving in El Campano, we were denied access to the road leading to the hotel and we discovered that we could not go any further since the hotel lies at the end of a terrible track only a 4x4 or a motorcycle can travel. We had to leave the car at the side of the road for the duration of the three nights, at 2,5km distance from the hotel! We had to pay 90.000 mil pesos for a ride on a 4x4 to drive us up the hill with our suitcases. During the stay, 20.000 mil pesos per person one way on a moto taxi between the hotel and El Campano. Another 90.000 mil pesos to get back to the car on departure day. And that's when a lady showed up and required 50.000 mil pesos "parking fees"! We felt robbed! All those fees added to the cost of the rental car - that turned out useless. This was extremely frustrating! The icing on the cake was the car rental company charging cleaning fees since the car was covered with dust after standing for three days next to a dusty road. The access conditions need to be communicated BEFORE reservation in the hotel description. It should be made clear that the hotel is not accessible by car and the hotel should not tick the box of "parking facilities" without providing detailed information. Be aware that it is situated 11km from Minca, complicated to access and far from everthing. Which is wonderful if you wish to disconnect, but a problem if you intend to discover the surroundigs.
Amazing location with fantastic view. Lovely and clean room. Kind and attentive staff. Good food options and great service. It could be the perfect place, but...

United KingdomI wish I had nothing to write here but: • we unknowingly had to pay for milk in our coffee in the morning. It wasn’t much but they should’ve let us know and it’s ridiculous paying for a tiny amount of milk • the food was yummy but expensive - I guess that’s expected. However the service - it took forever to receive your food, I mean an hour most days maybe 45 minutes - even though there were only a few tables occupied Everything else was great
The views are incredible - WOW! So tranquil, just in the hills with amazing views and hearing the birds chirping all day long. The bed was very comfortable, the room clean and shower nice and warm. There was free coffee in the morning and the food was very nice, and free water during your stay. The pool area was lovely and got sun most of the day! The WiFi worked better than expected, not strong enough for a video call but we managed to stream the football with a bit of buffering !
