Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The host is friendly and a real character. The place is very comfortable and chilled out. The pets are fun to play with too. Our laundry was done on site with no problems. The location is on a quiet road so not woken by cars.

United KingdomOne of the best hostel I’ve stayed in! Monica was so welcoming and accommodating, really made it feel like a home. The space is lovely with the patio and garden which was so peaceful. The kitchen had everything you need and there at 3 cats and the cutest dog there! No bunk beds which makes for a good nights sleep and it’s very easy to socialise

AustriaA beautiful colonial house just one short block from the main square. The host Monica is such a welcoming person. The place is super clean and the beds are comfortable. The shared kitchen is well equipped. Jardin is one of the most beautiful friendly places in Colombia. Go there and stay at LuzArt.

United KingdomThe only missing thing is toilet seats 😅
A great hostel and the owner is a gem! She was super friendly and let me practice my Spanish, also was concerned that I'd grazed my knee, so sweet! Perfect location near the start of the trail up to Jesús. Very clean and a nice garden with lots of sofas and the pets are super cute. I'll come back if I can! ❤️🙏

AustriaMonica is the heart of the house. It was like coming home from the first moment. The hostel is so central and yet it's super peaceful. The patio is just so beautiful to sit in in the mornings, very peaceful cats and a dog of pure sweetness make the place really homely and cozy. Hope to come back to this place.

BelgiumThe kitchen could use some better equipment; toilet seats should make a comeback; please oil the hinges.
Monica is just the coolest with her little army of pets that will make you feel right at home. The house is exceptionally decorated and the garden is simply a dream. Despite being clean too. I loved arriving at LuzArt after being in noisy Medellín.

It’s a beautiful colonial type house. In reality it’s better then in the pictures. Spicy rooms and big beds. Nice garden , though be careful of mosquitoes and flies there. Nice small kitchen and a few areas to take food

United KingdomMonika is a brilliant person and this house is very special. It felt at times more like a really good air BnB than a hostel as there weren't loads of travellers staying for much of the time I was there - but those who were there were mostly lovely and it was good for socialising. As other commenters have said, the house itself is actually an antique, a piece of local history, and very beautiful. The old pictures on the wall in the dormitory are of Monika's great grandparents who founded Jardín. Monika has a heart of gold and is a vibrant character within the fabric of this paradise town. She went out of her way to help me with whatever I needed. Her puppy and two cats are so cute too. Beds are basically double beds. Rooms get cleaned every day. Beautiful garden out the back too for chilling/eating breakfast etc.
