Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomTo enjoy the views it’s a steep walk up the hill but worth it!
Friendly staff with a warm welcome, wonderful views from all parts of the hostel, great value for money and close proximity to Parque Tayrona

United StatesAs a solo traveler, I felt like an odd person out. It's not very social. They don't have many bathrooms, and the ones they do have aren't very private. There's also not much hangout space--only the restaurant and the reception area, but no real chill area.
The view is incredible! I didn't mind the climb up the hill to get that view. :) It's also possible to walk to a very lovely beach in 20-25 min. The walk is mostly down a dirt road and I enjoyed it.

AustraliaLoud music from a property next door made it difficult to sleep even with ear plugs…. but it is Colombia and was Saturday night so to be expected a little. As other reviews have mentioned the driveway is STEEP and narrow and the stairs once you reach the hostel are no joke - this is not an accessible property for anyone with mobility issues.
The views are spectacular and the rooms were very well kept. Basic but very clean. Food was good and the staff were lovely, and even helped us to arrange transport and carried one of our bags to the room once we were at reception.

United Kingdomcold shower, limited food choice, no atmosphere. Steep hike to get to the rooms, restaurant or down to the main road, you don't want to leave.
The views here are absolutely stunning but you have to earn them. You basically have to hike up a steep hill for 20 minutes to get to your room. The rooms are huge cabins. Nice cargo net to take photos on.

United StatesI love the dogs but they baked all night then early in the morning, the staff did attempt to quiet them so that was nice. The cleaning lady made way too much noise in the morning hitting the states and beds while stopping and mopping.
The view is amazing, the climb wasn't as bad as i thought. The staff is super friendly it had one really nice shower. The view is absolutely amazing! Especially when there's a thunder storm. It's a chill place to just relax by yourself

SpainSomething that should be more explicitly mentioned is the climb. The hostel is on a mountain and requires going up a very steep hill and up and down the stairs to move within the hostel. To get to the private rooms, the way from the road to the room might take around 10 minutes of going up stairs to get to the higher bit of the mountain
The food at the bar/cafe is great. The hot tub and hammock are really relaxing and the view is gorgeous

ChileI had no problem with it but you need to be aware that the hostel lies on a very steep hill. Until you get to reception you're already sweating a lot, even more so until you arrive at the rooms. Not ideal for bringing suitcases, you need to carry them on your shoulder. Friends stayed at the 4-people room and we found the 2 people deluxe room much better value for money (the 4-beds room has no view, little storage place, doesn't include breakfast).
The deluxe room is fantastic. Great views, hammock, very spacious, nice bed. Plus, it has two showers and two toilets. The bar is very nice, too. Breakfast is very good.
