Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe hostel is simply perfect, so if you’re ever in Leticia, I highly recommend it to everyone. The team is incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure you have an unforgettable stay. They offer great tips and organize amazing, unique tours. The cocktails are hands down the best in town, and the owner is a truly talented tattoo artist. Everything is spotless, and the garden, with its cozy seating areas and great music, is the perfect place to relax and feel at home. All in all, it’s just a wonderful place to stay!:)

United KingdomA wonderfully cozy space with both indoor and outdoor common areas perfect for relaxing and socializing. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming and the staff are so helpful and friendly. The hostel is conveniently located near the airport and just a short tuk-tuk ride from town. I really appreciated Jonathan’s efforts to use the hostel as a platform to provide opportunities and education for locals while fostering a community of musically cultured (no reggaeton here!) and environmentally conscious individuals.

Germanyabout the only thing is, is that it is a bit off center. for me no big deal, as i wanted to have a rest and it's a shirt tuktuk ride. there is a school next to it, which can be quite noisy during daytime, but i rather found it funny and i was mostly there during the weekend anyway
it's a neatly decorated place run by amazing people. the social area in the garden is perfect to chill out and it has a clean and well equipt kitchen. the operate a bar for drinks ans fresh juices. breakfast is also fine and comes with a tasty juice. jonathan also connected me and an other traveller with a maguta guide to visit his community and stay in the jungle. for me it was about the perfect stay after comming down the amazonas on slow boats

SwitzerlandNot applicable. Rarely have I seen a perfect hostel like this run with a spirit of integrity.
Excellent property, fabulous central, tastefully decorated. The external sit out makes you feel like a resort at the price of a hostel. This hostel is run by a swiss couple Yanina and john (I hope I got the names right), who have hearts of gold. They run it in an eco friendly way while supporting local indigenous communities and persons with disabilities by hiring them and treating them with utmost dignity and respect as part of their family. The rooms and hostel beds are super comfortable with an attached bathroom to each room, and also separate bathrooms to give ample number of bathrooms in case there are more guests. You will feel like you are in a Homestay with a family - yet have the opportunity to meet fellow hostellers and exchange travel notes! Go for it!

United KingdomI stayed in various hostels during my time in the Amazon and Nomada was my favourite by far. I stayed for a couple of nights at the start of my trip, and returned there when I was in Leticia, which was my base for visiting Puerto Nariño and Iquitos. I met lots of interesting, fun, kind people at Nomada, across both fellow guests and the staff team. The hostel is only a year or so old, run by an indigenous family and Colombian friends. Together they create a uniquely welcoming atmosphere. The dorm is basic but comfortable, and there are good amenities - a functional kitchen, free coffee in the mornings, free drinking water, a fast laundry service. Their beers and cocktails are very affordable. José and Romel organised a group meal in the garden one evening, which was super fun and cheap, and on another night made hot chocolate con queso for everyone. The vibe is sociable without being super loud/party-party-party. They are also starting to offer tours of the local area, and when I needed to arrange a short overnight tour close to Leticia, the team put something together for me in a beautiful location that worked well. One bit of advice for solo women travellers - the place is in a quiet corner of Leticia and I recommend getting motorcycle taxis or tuktuks into the town centre (which cost no more than 6,000 COP), as on my first day I was groped by a passing motorcyclist when walking into town in broad daylight. However the team will call you a tuktuk and once I started doing that, going into town and back was unstressful. Across the time I spent at Nomada, there were one or two avoidable misunderstandings, but it all worked out in the end and overall my trip was definitely better for happening to book there. Stay there if you can, it's really cute! And make sure you chat to the lovely staff - you will learn a lot about Leticia, the communities, and la selva from them.

IrelandSome people may feel that this property is a little bit far from Leticia. Personally, I really enjoyed the walk. It takes about 20 minutes at an average pace but it’s nice to walk through the communities on the way. I also felt very safe walking after sunset. You can also get a moto taxi for like 6K COP.
The family that run the hostel are lovely. You are essentially a guest in their home, but it doesn’t feel over-crowded or intrusive - which is lovely, especially if you are travelling for a long time away from home. The house is nice and I slept very well. It is kept very clean and the garden is lovely. There is a decent kitchen.

Lithuaniaeven though they have mosquito nets on the outside doors, they don't close them in the evenings. I guess it might be hard to enforce this. But sometimes the lobby has many mosquitos. Not cool in the Amazon with all those diseases. A good solution would be self closing (a bit tilted) mosquito net doors.
From the 2 month trip that I am having I think this hostel was the most exceptional from all the places I stayed for money 💚. The garden is a very good place to meet other travellers and share stories. I met a few amazing adventurers, even went to a local Uitoto tribe for 10days with one. And its because this hostel. Besides that Johnathan is a very good host, always helps out, is very warm and knows activities. Also love that there's always a pure drinkable water canister. Not all other places have it
