This hostel is in such a unique location; to get there you need to cross a wooden bridge and the jungle (don’t go with luggage but backpacks). The main common area and the pool are amazing. In the morning you just wake up to the sounds of birds singing. I found this place by coincidence and only for a night - I only wish I had more time to stay for longer!

There was no yoga available despite it being advertised on pictures. There was no electricity in our room but it contributed to our disconnection :)

Wonderful stay in a quiet and lush space, prone to relaxation and wellbeing. The pool is stunning surrounded by beautiful plants, coconut, banana and mango trees. Delicious vegetarian food and lovely staff. A treat!

Will is so chilled and nice. I felt right at home with him. The common area is really inviting and one of the best I've ever had in a hostel. The dorms were really cool, as well. Real jungle feeling. Amazing Pool and Hammock area. And a slack line

When you’re taking breakfast included there is only 1 option.

Our stay was perfect, William was super nice with us. It’s a paradise in the jungle, it’s super friendly. I highly recommend it.

We had some clothes damaged with bleach when we used the laundry service, only realised when we left as had packed in bag. Appreciate it happens but just be mindful if using in future.

It’s located in the jungle which is lovely. Close to Parque Tayrona. The layout of the facilities is nice (pool and reception). Food (although not included) was absolutely delicious and staff were absolutely lovely

Amazing location jungle hostel with an amazing set of hosts. The vibe is chill with some social energy still possible. The pool is superb and the overall place is one of the best values I've found in Colombia. It is a jungle hostel with immersion into the jungle, it will be hot and with mosquitoes. I was looking for this kind of place, and it was better than expected.

The pool wasn’t working while I stayed, the beds would make a lot of noise if you moved. I didn’t like that the host was smoking near to us.

The breakfast was good. The dorms were good and clean, not much people so it was comfortable.

Honestly, I could live here! This hostel is a - came for 3 days, stayed 2 weeks - type of hostel. Thank you Will for creating a home away from home. Everything about this place is so beautiful! The way it is decorated, the relaxed vibe, the most beautiful big swimming pool I have ever seen in a hostel. The place is clean and I was impressed by its design, it could have even been a luxury lodge if it wasnt for the beautiful dorms. And all of this in the middle of the jungle. Spotting birds, even toucans, lizards and different types of Monkeys just from out of the pool! Sugey is a most talented chef and the food has always been delicious, filling and healthy and really good value for money. The walk to get to the hostel adds some extra value. Just go barefeet, feel the earth, pause for a moment in the cool water of the creek and listen to the sounds of the jungle all around you. It makes you reconnect with yourself and nature. This is a hostel for nature lovers. There is lots to see and do in the area as well. Will has plenty of good recommendations. I highly recommend this hostel and I am sure I will be back!

The staff…Will was great. What a guy! The place was beautiful. Very cool and well maintained. The walk from the road to the hostel was also so cool. Crossing bridges and river in the jungle. What a entrance to a great accommodation.

All food is an extra cost.

Gorgeous property, well located for a walk or mototaxi to the tayrona entrance, good value, good food. The walk from the road to Origen is a short, fun mini-adventure. Perhaps not enjoyable if you have bulky suitcases.

We had a storm coming over, damaging the roof of the main area and knocking out water in our room. This was unfortunate. Luckily they have two sources for water and found a proper solution to have a comfortable stay. Please note: the hostel is run by great people. If you need anything GO AND ASK. They are super happy to help.

Hey Will! I already gave you my feedback, but here it is for others to see. Origin Hostel is a hostel in the jungle. This comes with pros and cons. You’re staying in the actual jungle, so there are plenty of flora and fauna to see. We had so many birds and even saw monkeys! Some animals are close to you, some may stay away. That’s wildlife. It’s great! They have an amazing pool, both placement wise as well quality wise. We booked the room with private balcony which was super nice. Beds and bathroom nothing special, but for this amount of money very acceptable. Food at the hostel is good. Breakfast is truly amazing, dinner was good where you can choose between two dishes of the day. If you don’t like that, there are two good restaurants nearby too.

We absolutely loved our stay at Origen and wished we could stay there for longer. Will and all his team were so hospitable and helpful. The whole place was stunning, set in a beautiful botanical garden, surrounded by wildlife, we saw iguanas, humming birds, toucans, parakeets and tortoises - all from by the pool. The pool was a great place to cool down in the hot weather and relax, as well as chilling out in the hammocks. The room we stayed in was lovely and spotless, with glorious fluffy white towels which was a delight after travelling for a long time. The food was delicious and great portions. Will was such a great host and helped us out with our trip into the park and then return travel back to Santa Marta as well as being a great guy to chat to.
